Following Spurs of old. We were known as a tightfisted club before the war and just after,relying on home grown players with a rare trip to purchase a player from elsewhere.That's why we remained a second division team for such a long time.In contrast,Arsenal spent money on players.......so bully for them!
Mind you,the successful teams of 1949-1952 were home grown apart from Ramsey and maybe Harry Clarke who came from Lovells Athletic......so what am I talking about?

Danny Rose apparently hasn't learned and has now gone spouting off to the Standard

I got injured last season, I tried everything for three months to avoid an operation. I had about 50 tablets and 20 injections, it didn’t work and I needed an operation. I came back in October; I was fit until December; I was injured in a tackle; I was out for a month and then I had a muscle injury in March – my first muscle injury in two years – so I have had two injuries this season and people seem to think I have had a lot of injuries.

It’s a load of nonsense. I have had to bide my time getting some minutes. It is a season where I have had to be patient and be mentally positive. Even though I haven’t played as much as I’d like I feel like I’ve grown mentally so there are positives to take out of the season.

I wish I could have played more, but you have two players to compete in each position and that is how I would want it at any football club.

Somehow he forgot to mention
a.) He was visibly overweight until the last few weeks of the season
b.) He'd lost two yards of pace, making him next to useless as an attacking option and a liability as a defensive one
c.) When you're trying to say you're not injury prone, pointing out that you picked up three injuries since August doesn't help your case

No, Danny - last year that applied, not this. The best you can say is that you were an overweight stopgap this year to give Ben a rest. But if that’s what you want to believe........ <doh>

The figures are based upon figures for 2015/16 and 2016/17. So, only for one year were we in the CL and we failed to get out of the group. The only Wembley income was for 4 CL/EL games and there was restricted income from WHL in her final season.

We'll be a very different club by the end of next season, especially if DL can bring home a sponsorship deal for the stadium.. I would expect us to have overtaken Juve and be getting our teeth into Chelsea and Liverpool. It's illuminating to see West Ham and Everton on £475m and £458m respectively. West Ham's stadium move has done very little for their income [but significantly reduced their outgoings] and the only people likely to do a major commercial deal with the Dildo Bros. are .........dildo manufacturers. Snatch 22?

I guess a more precise figure than the 1bn odd
that was being bandied about earlier in the year.
 
1 billion! Sometimes I think that was what I spent watching Spurs over the years since my first standing position was on the front of the SHELF. What a spectacular view that was!

I don't remember having a problem standing in a full house at White Hart Lane. Sure,the crowd surged forward on occasions but that was good fun.....and we had a lot of crush barriers. Occasionally someone would be carted off due to health reasons or fainted.
The crowd also lifted kids over their heads to the front to get a good view. No problems there.

One thing from the past.....the Spurs Band. I preferred them rather than records. In fact when the Band marched up and down,we waited for the leader,performing with his (whatever they called it) to accidently drop it. He got a round of cheers and boos for that!
Bring the Spurs Band back I say!

The ghost of Hillsborough will take ages to exorcise.
I believe that in the future that a N seated = N + M standing
arrangement will be possible in England football stadia,
but baby steps first (get as close to N standing first) .
