I'm not going to defend our prices, as I think that they should be significantly lower.

Juventus don't even fill their 41,507 capacity stadium, which they moved to because they couldn't fill the previous one.
City's old fans have abandoned them and their new ones don't like going to Manchester.
Utd's roof is falling in and the stadium's full of rodents, even if you ignore Bruno Fernandez.
Liverpool fans have to pay airfare on top of the ticket price.

    He's facing a 6-12 game ban.

As it's us, I'm expecting the FA to go for 13.

I'm starting to lose patience with him. Not much point keeping a player who for various reasons seems to only be available for selection once in a few months.

Fans being exploited is not the way to catch up to bigger and better clubs. Especially as we’re further away from success now than we were paying less money at White Hart Lane.

It’s not a good thing at all. Not one bit.

    Bentancur is.

An absence which will inevitably double when he picks up his annual medium to long term injury.

HBIC was joking as his initial post highlighted the fact they’ve used Romero’s face when discussing Bentancur’s potential ban, lol.

Wasn't Bentancur on international duty when he made his racist remarks?
Shouldn't that mean that the FA can't charge him, but it goes to either CONMEBOL or FIFA and his ban is for Uruguay?

Yeah I don’t understand why it’s a domestic ban. Not condoning his comments which were stupid but 6 games domestically seems harsh.

As I said, seems to be more to set a precedent in case Chelsea lose their **** when Fernandez's punishment is handed down

So how are you proposing that we increase income then?

I don't think anyone is being exploited....you get a much better view of the game in the new stadium rather than WHL with much better facilities. Why isn't that worth a higher price? I understand that more expensive tickets are out of reach of poorer fans but that's generally true of all forms of entertainment. I didn't spot Oasis selling cheaper tickets than us for example.

Simple: Sell shares or sell the stadium naming rights.

Give or take the club makes just over £60m a year on some of the most expensive ticket sales in Europe, the 6% rise this season netted them about an extra £3m-£4m on top of that, if you think that's going to help chase down the City's of the world then I'm afraid you're going to be sorely disappointed. That rise however is an extra dent in what is already a huge one for fans each year. There is no value for money in what we pay for too, we're not anywhere near the best football team in Europe so we shouldn't be charging as if we were. Our loyalty is being financially exploited.

The views are largely the same. Both stadiums are/ were close to the pitch. The only difference in viewing will be those seated higher up in the stands as the new stadium's will be larger than WHL's.

I think the ticket sales are closer to £100m per annum. So when we offer to sell shares and the buyer asks what our pricing policy is, we are going to say we charge £6m less than we could. That in itself will dent the income from the share sale....anyone who can afford to buy the shares will be a capitalist and be expecting us to maximise income to give them a return.
Levy has stated that their isn't as much value from a naming deal as it appears as an unencumbered stadium achieves better prices for events.
We've got an uphill battle to become a truly top club...the fans need to play their part.

Maybe we do, I was trying to average between juniors, concessions and adult season tickets and came to around just over £60m, though probably didn’t factor in the more premium ticket areas nor the actual amounts of juniors/ concessions there definitely are so it probably will be closer to your figures, which makes it even more of a mockery to raise costs for fans already paying a huge premium. With concessions being shat on the figures will be even higher in due course. Although I do wonder how many concessions and those who may have initially been looking forward to becoming one will soon pass up on their tickets and if the club has the genuine demand to replace them. There’s always talk of around 80k being on the waiting list but people in the very high thousands have been able to purchase a season ticket in recent years so I’m not sure the demand is as great as it may seem on first glance. I’d also be intrigued to know how many on that waiting list are of South Korean/ Asian background too, Son won’t be around forever and so neither will their support, very few players in the game have an individual support club like he does.

Up until the last year or two we were the most expensive team in Europe to support for a number of years, so I’d say the fans have more than played their part. The fact we’re now further away in quality from both the Pochettino and Redknapp eras would imply it’s the club and not the fans not doing their part. We’re paying more money but the quality of player and football is worse? Doesn’t really add up.

I did a bit of digging and it turns out that the interview was recorded in April before the Forest match.
Much like the Bissouma red for diving, I'm all for this as long as it's done consistently and fairly.
Diving wasn't punished consistently after the sending off and I doubt racism will be after this, though.

The FA won't be punishing Enzo Fernandez.
Other players have had significantly less than 6-12 games for their own offences.
Bentancur deserves punishment and I'd be fine with an official increase overall, but not just for one player and one offence.

I agree that consistency is required and surely it is the player who should be punished not the club. He has already apologised and that has been accepted, he should have to attend diversity courses and the club should make him do additional work within community along with the largest fine that the PFA allows and a 3 match ban.
