Who's taken his place with the academy side, I wonder?

I think Mason jointly managed the whole academy, with someone else, with him mostly overseeing progression and the other person doing other things, so I imagine they’ve just reverted to one person doing it all.

That’s very vague I know. Ali Gold has explained it a few times and I’ll see if I can dig out the club tweet.

You have already been told : the run-in for the 2015-16 season,

Spurs played FOUR consecutive sunday/monday games AFTER
Leicester, meaning that Spurs started each KO the same number
of pts behind, never once being able to close the gap and try to put
mental pressure on the leaders.

Contrast with 2016-17, where Chelsky and Spurs were equitably
given saturday/sunday fixtures in the final third of the season
(aided in no small part by Spurs early exit from the EL KO stages) ,
and Spurs were able to hold the gap to 4 pts until the game in
match week 36 (where a win would have made a temporary gap
of 1 pt) .
You are one of the few people on here to understand stats well enough to know that isn't enough data to give a significant result

Statistics has nothing to do with it. PSYCHOLOGY does.
A mental aspect that incidentally can be stated as a probability.

Bur you're making an assumption that playing second is harder psychologically. It's that assumption that can be tested. I don't think we did significantly worse relative to Leicester when we played after them.
It's often thought better to go second so that you know what you have to do.
