what is behind all this Hidden agenda ????that is the question you should be asking.....if it dont make sense then it probably isn't........and changing the home shirt to red and go from bluebirds to red dragon (where another famous welsh club are already) then be prepared for more drastic moves.....there is an hidden agenda that all this bull is leading up to.....and if you think this is not popular then wait until they reveal the next thing they want to do....

Cardiff City we do the ayatollah we play in red and we chant Bluebirds Now that will confuse our opponents got to be worth 10 points next season
Me I would take the money ,take the red kit and the ****ing dragon we will always be bluebirds..

you will be known as wrexham reserves one fan said on talksport...that did make me laugh though as he had a point. you will be playing in wrexham's colours with an identical wrexham badge and as wrexham are the official club in wales who play in them colours and have always had a dragon on their badge then it wont be long before fans of other clubs will be calling you wrexham reserves......and all because some malaysian is superstitious and dont like blue....as if that makes any difference.....you could not make it up you honestly couldn't...If anybody ever tried to change the swans identity he would be hung drawn and quartered....

OH NO! Other fans will sing nasty things at us, however will we deal with that..............<doh>

If somebody had of come to Swansea when you were about to go into admin for the second time and said "Here is 100 million but you have to be the Swansea Dragons and play in red or you will be liquidated" I am sure most of you would be cheering the Dragons right now :)

Very easy to make these sweeping comments when it is not happening to you.

Good question and hard to answer - i hope not because i wouldnt want my club at the mercy of someone previously unconnected to the club who may not understand or respect what the fans want, who knows where that would lead?
My vision of football for the future is fans being involved in the running of clubs, obviously as sustainable businesses but taking into account their role in the community. this is happening at least partly in many clubs and also at Swansea (where we have a strong representation on the board), i know it doesnt make the news like these tycoons throwing their millions around and its going against the grain but thats how i see it - big business has really taken over in say the last 20-30 years but has it improved the game - i dont think so

I took some time to post on this as my first post back on these boards.

I'm horrified at the loss of base colour, official nickname, and the history of the bluebirds.

HOWEVER, we will still be Cardiff City, and thats the most important thing. The name. To us it will always be the bluebirds, we will always be the bluebirds, and we will survive. After the Malaysians I'm fairly sure we will be the bluebirds again, for now we take their money, accept the situation will not change, that we are to become Red, and no matter how angry we are for it, support the boys.

I'd rather have a Cardiff City than no Cardiff City

Interesting to know how the fans feel about the ultimatum: make the changes or we pull the plug? Hardly going to foster good relations is it? Or does money make that alright too? If anyone held my club to ransom I'd be spitting chips, money or not.

But it's not our club , & it's not us between a rock & a hard place aussie . Times are changing & tradition isn't what it use to be . I get the feeling the Bluebird have a " Generation gap " aspect to this problem . The older fans will be outraged & the younger ones might not be as much . Anyways , the Bluebirds have tough decisions to make , as we would under the same scenario .. I'm sure they'll weight it all out & they will carry on from there .

same badge i wore on my scout uniform when i was a kid ..<laugh> what is going to happen about the saying.."once a bluebird always a bluebird" .that will go out the window as you will be sharing with wrexham as "once a red dragon always a red dragon"...sorry it dont make sense and should not happen. on the lunch time news not only is there an uproar with the fans but past players are furious about it also......to lose the clubs identity is very sad and unnecessary....its success on the pitch that counts and they are asking a to higher price, they have been at cardiff a while now so why have they not put any significant money into the club to help to get the club to the premiership. your selling your soul to the devil if this happens....
