Staines R's Good to see you back again and posting, fellow. All the best to you and yours at Christmas. You never know, we might meet up again at the Playoff Finals!
Hopefully yours. But I'm guessing your entry got a bye to the grand final given that it was head and shoulders above the others.
Totally agree, I don't really care for any of the four designs offered - I wear my lapel pin with pride. Would be great if the club would buy-in to that concept.
I read that Manchester City are also looking to go 'back to the future' next season with away strip and badge. Manchester City are set to go back to a more traditional badge next season and the Premier League side are also returning to a more retro away kit too it seems. http://www.thesportbible.com/articles/manchester-city-to-go-back-to-old-colours-next-season
There was an informative Daily Mail article that looked at the evolution of football club badges in July 2013: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...adge--Premier-League-clubs-crest-evolved.html
Ones which stick out as memorable and distinctive: Arsenal - the gun Liverpool - the Liver bird Norwich - the canary Spurs - the cock WBA - the throstle, whatever that is (a starling? A thrush?) West Ham - hammers We have the Q and need to make more of it. Or adopt an animal and claim we've been associated with it forever. A meerkat perhaps, they're popular. Or a *****ose.
Swans for me a modern classic You know it from a thousand paces You will find a load of club having to rebrand I think simply because of the new approach required to design svg files on the web allow perfect responsive design and scale in perfect ratio Logos have to work at so many different sizes and formats nowadays Example that any detail in the logo means it dissapears small or looks wrong when blown up Ohh did I mention I had already thought of that ? Cocky old fart that I am
Strong, trying to own Manchester Looks like it was made years ago Don't like the gradients on the sails But the form is strong
