I always expected so much more from Onuoha; he’s a smart guy and a very capable footballer- but somehow he didn’t quite seem to fulfill all I expected. As a captain I’m not sure he fulfilled the role completely, and he never quite made it as a leader of the team or club. All that said, he has been a long serving player and been there through highs and lows... so I thank you for your service Nedhum and good luck wherever you next go.
Yup.... And our really bad time over Christmas was when Ned was injured. He will be really missed as a CD. He was the glue this season. Ollie needs to get the right replacement...I hope it is not Michael Dawson ( who is out of contract) Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Although I had my reservations about Onouha in particular, his 'switching off at times'. He was a good servant to QPR and I will never knock him for that. Good luck Ned. He will probably be replaced by some lesser non-league player because that's how we do things now. At least some will be happy that 'We got our Rangers back'.
His sheer length of time at the club will ensure him a good hand today and count me among those seeing him off in this way. As others have said he has definitely underachieved against expectations but then who didn't among the influx of mercenaries we have seen over the last few years. Ironically, he seems to have reached his level this season, doing a good job of leading a mid-table Championship club without too many expectations and performing consistently himself even with the usual high error count. I suspect he leaves at the high point in his career. Cheers Ned.
It is Paweł Wszołek’s 26th Birthday. I wish him all the best although I am not confident in his future at the R’s.
obviously i always loved the jet i have no idea why he has never been given a chance after all as long as a p[layer scores goals then surely he should given some credit but anyway ollie seems to have the gift of finding youngsters,so lets see if we can go up by the play offs next season
I hear that TEdS contract may not be renewed at the end of the season, the mods have to decide whether to offer a new contract.
Latest on the Robinson's contract talks..... QPR have given Jack Robinson until the end of next week to make a final decision on whether he will sign a new contract at Loftus Road. The defender, whose current deal expires this summer, has indicated that he believes he can secure a move elsewhere after enjoying an impressive season. Rangers have responded by warning Robinson not to assume their offer will still be on the table if he does not join another club. Read the rest here........http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/03052018-football-jack-robinson-update Also the same article says about contract extension for Oteh and Kakay plus several of the other youngsters........... It seems that there is a plan afterall.....
Uwe Hünemeier, a mostly reserve Brighton centre back who used to play for Dortmund, a possible QPR target as his contract is up. Age 32.
Six U18 and seven U23's have been released, per the official site today. That's a major clear out! Maybe these are the hard decisions that TF made reference to in the podcast.
Good that we are giving Robinson a deadline. Too injury prone to lose any sleep over. Let's focus on a League one/two centre back and centre forward. Ollie McBurnie anyone?
The season only finished yesterday but I find myself checking if half the squad or Ollie have left yet, I'll be glad to get back to work so I have something else to occupy my mind.
It is not only you and I am at work!!! (note: in Poland 1st May, Labour Day, and 3rd May, Constitution Day were Bank Holiday - so most of last week was a holiday or a bridge. I keep on checking to see if Ollie is still with us. After last week's rumours, I really don't know what to expect, but I believe in the saying "There is no smoke without fire".
