Ranieiri's CV isn't trophy laden, admittedly, but I can guarantee he has been more successful than Pearson ever will be in managerial terms.
Ranieiri is exactly the kind of manager leicester should be aiming for, experienced both in the PL and in European competitions, has managed some big names, and has a very respectable win percentage.
Again, not to sound like a dick, but a club like Leicester? He is more than qualified to take this job on and I think he will do well.
Not sure why everyone is so sceptical. And judging him on 1 game with Greece

now you've done it ... brace yourself for a tirade of righteous indignation, pocketbook philosophy and irrational suspicion
I'm afraid the comparisons to Sven are natural - two aging managers who's best achievements are long behind them, despite which they continually feel into top positions, usually short term. Does it mean Ranieri will only be as successful as Sven? No. But it doesn't bode well.
