On what basis is this? Come on,, you need to back it up. All signs point to a mentally capable and talented footballer, so on what basis would he 'feel it in game one'?
Only daft United fans would rank Ronaldo's time at United ahead of what Scholes did. Fergie gets a lot of credit for Ronaldo being the player he is today but don't forget the players he trained with every day. He's quite simply the best player I've ever seen, technically, nobody gets close, not Xavi, not Pirlo and certainly not Gerrard or Lampard.
It's subjective of course, I could never convince somebody he's better than Messi but to me, it was like watching magic on the pitch and he was a complete model pro off the pitch as well.
Only Zidane and Cantona are spoken in the same way as Scholes by myself.
I loved watching Henry as well, he was unstoppable at one point.
Tell you what there's nobody even close to these type nowadays in this league, Hazard is brilliant but nobody would even notice him in the company of some of the names on here.

Agreed. Kane, Hazard, Costa, Aguero and co had good years but when you look at season had by Scholes, Eric, Henry, Giggs, Shearer, Viera, Keane, Ljunberg, Pires and Ronaldo towards the end there's nothing of note in the league.
Disagree on Hazard like he's a phenomenal player. Remember, he's only 23 mate, he's a few years to write his story yet!
No, your opinion is certain specific players will struggle before they've even tried, bit different from what you're saying there isn't it? I don't think anyone would disagree the some players struggle but it's not the point you've been pushing on this thread.
I'm talking right now mate, he is brilliant I've said that already but he's not there yet, if he left the league now and went to PSG for example, he wouldn't be placed in the same company as the likes of Henry, Cantona, Scholes etc, Suarez would, but not him.
He might end up with that lot, probably not under Mourinho though.

Ability and style wise probs should have went to Arsenal or United, your right on that score.
In the Eredivisie he anchors the midfield but in the Prem I don't see him troubling attackers quite so well, but he is an impressive technician and can play as a DLP.
Wijnaldum wouldn't track back too often but he's pacey, tricky and has end product and with the right coaching he'd be a better bet than Cabella.
I think he's Ronaldo's replacement at Madrid, he's being held back by JM but like you say he's young so he'll remain happy for now so long as he's winning.
Players with a low centre of gravity tend to do well at the very top in football, I bet there's a very simple explanation for it.
This league is very much about combinations of players, I remember Yacob and Mulumbu taking on all comers for WBA a couple of years ago now they're both out of contract!
Trying to argue that an individual will fail/thrive in this league based on any single attribute is flawed theory, it depends if the player has other players around him who work well together with him.
Scholes wouldn't have been half as good if he had to do the donkey work for some chump like Cleverley, thankfully he had world class all around him to enable him to showcase his talent.
Mascherano and Tevez prove this theory.
