Israeli intel agency innit. Tell tale sign of a crazy nut job behind the screen when their name is dropped. I'm not saying the Beeb are decent mind, I think they're ****ing filthy pigs the lot of them.
I've read quite a bit about what he's supposed to have done, the bottom line to me looks like he's just too old-style British for the BBC, they're desperate to replace him with an ethnic minority. 3 White salt of the earth Brits presenting a successful show you say? Nay pal, get some more flavour in there.
I do like Top Gear, and some of the challenges are great, the polar one for example. And as for Clarkson he is marmite to be honest, love him or hate him. I hate the BBC however, before the days of digital tv services fair enough having to pay, but now you can have so many choices of channels you want then why shouldn't it be optional. Why am I paying towards the world service and other services I do not use, its like half the world get a service we bloody pay for. This needs to be voted upon, and the sooner the better. I'm sick of paying when I only watched Top gear, and now its off air, I wont watch anything
He's a white, middle-aged, middle-spread beer-drinking, fast-car-driving, petrol head. Can't think who he reminds me of... Oh yeh, me Must be why I love Top Gear.
Probably the wrong choice of phrase, was going for the fact that all three are fundamentally British and proud of their heritage and he in particular seems to display a reluctance to change his ways no matter how PC the BBC try to make themselves. Clarkson is always going to be Clarkson V1.0 and that's why he doesn't belong on the BBC.
Yeah the BBC are a bit ashamed of their Oxford English, public school, Tory, old boys club past. Clarkson's a remnant of that. That's not what bothers me about him mind.
Only proud of their own tiny part of that heritage I'd say ....... they seem to despise anyone who isn't like them. I don't think they'd call an ambulance if one of their adoring fan club were dying in the street.
Nope, licence fee http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/check-...es-your-licence-fee-pay-for-top13#licfeespend
Going off Top Gear and the two of Clarkson's books I've read, as well as some of the James May programmes that pop up over Christmas time usually, I'd have to disagree about the heritage thing. The pair of them at least show a lot of enthusiasm for British made things in particular, not just the motor industry either. Celebs will divide opinions though, I meet people who like James Corden and Frankie Boyle and it puzzles me why they don't hate them.
They just put me in mind of the Formula One circus. In Monaco I'd see thousands of daft blokes, arrive from the UK, in Ferrari hats & jackets waving their little Ferrari flags They'd sit in the cheap seats going wild, calling the drivers by pet names like Shumi, then after the race be kept away from them at any cost. In truth they wouldn't piss on the fans if they were being burned alive.
Harsh, Smug. They may be insulated from reality by the enormous amounts they earn, but I don't think they hold them in that kind of contempt.
