Spurs were ****ign appalling at that point. They've been absolutely unbelievable since.

I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so in my post the other day. <laugh> Martin Samuel, once again, nailed it in his column.

"Ajax last won a home Champions League match on October 23 this season. They last won a home game in a Champions League knockout round on March 20, 1996 - and while history may be bunk, Ajax's results at home in Europe this season suggest they are a better counter-attacking unit away."

Until the second Ajax goal, I thought Spurs might do it, they were growing into the game after the early goal, and between the second Ajax goal and Lucas' first they were dead in the water. So glad I was wrong of course.
