Seriously, I hope it's true that we get better as we older. I'm not seeing any signs of that yet:emoticon-0101-sadsm
You're mixing with the wrong people Kemps. That or you've discovered the elixor of longevity and are actually getting younger.
Travelling close to the speed of light will do that:emoticon-0100-smile

No actually, traveling close to the speed of light will slow your aging down in relation to say your twin brother who is staying at a normal speed in a different location.
If you're going to read Hawkins or Cox at least get it right please when quoting, people on here are dumb enough without been fed fake news.
Niel degrasse Tyson would put this all to bed if I still had him on speed dial, but these astrophysicist party's can get out of hand, Hawkins was the ****ing worst !

A little harsh BBBb.
My twin brother is usually as pissed as a Newton. He's forever bemoaning the loss of British Rail - his mantra is "Bring BR back, they always get there on time !".
Populist scientists typically get bad press - eventually. The positive is they can sometimes stimulate a small portion of their audiences to get into the business of science. They (the new recruits) will follow the scientific method and increase our understanding of what's actually real.
Blind alleys are numerous and inevitable, but a necessary variable in the advancement of knowledge . Einstein hit a few. Hawking maybe the same. Both have advanced our understanding and clarified the roadmap somewhat.
As Sagan once said: "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence". He may have nicked it from a wiser sage, yet it inspired many a budding scientist thereafter.
No one on here is dumb, They will suss out false news. I assume you were jesting with your comment.
It's all relative.
I suspect I've derailed this thread enough. James Gleick's book "Chaos" is a worthwhile read.
<doh><doh>. My statement on extinction :emoticon-0100-smile
