Potential outgoings...
Elmo - rumoured interest from Everton and Watford
Davies - rumoured interest from QPR
Dawson - rumoured interest from Bournemouth
Jelavic - rumoured interest from West Ham and Norwich.
Hernandez - rumoured interest from every club in Italy.

I think there is a real chance that all of the above will leave, nothing should surprise us; although I think Hernandez will stay. I think, as someone said, should Diame come out tonight and give a decent display for 45 minutes or so, someone will be in for him. Seven days to go things will start to gain pace, the difficulty for the club, regardless of their experience at this, will be coping with handling outgoings (if they come as above in the final 3 days), and then signing the replacements in time. Interesting times ahead.

I have to say the way the Club and SB are promoting these 'contractual clauses' and encouraging other teams to bid for our players is quite disgusting and disrespectful to those fans who have bought season passes under very different understanding .

They must think that the supporters are completely stupid

Hmm I think you are forgetting that the agents may have some dealings in the contract negotiations, so they know exactly the clauses in the clients contracts......and therefore don't need SB to promote their players.

SB is desperate for his players to stay, and is merely getting his excuses in early, in case we lose our best players and don't get promotion

That still doesn't excuse Bruce's continual bleating about it.

He couldn't agree personal terms with Leicester in January. I'm sure they would have offered him more money than we will be doing now as they were in the Prem. Especially as we're now in the Championship.

Maybe he wants to come here because we have the least whinging and bitter supporters.

Bruce is no mug at this game and some of the things that have happened border on the unbelievable. He was shocked and disgruntled, quite publicly, over the manner of Ince leaving; I found that a tad strange that he had made no efforts to understand the terms of his players contracts, especially those he was determined to keep. He knew about the relegation clauses, so it is fair reasonable to think he would realise, if he didn't know for certain, that such players would be affected by a release clause to compensate for the wage drop. Did he ask questions, what answers did he receive? Steve Bruce has been peddling the players contracts a s a club weakness for sometime, so is this a strategy, concocted with the owners to try and induce early sales? If not, then why on earth would he do it? Have they tried to be too clever for their own good, making what they think to be the right noises for the players, saying he wants to keep them all, but, indirectly running an on-going sales campaign and then, after some indifferent performances, he finds folk are in no rush. Perhaps too, players might see his tactics for what they are and be less that encouraged to stay and support him. It's all speculation, I know, but there is something very wrong with this mess of a transfer window.

Bruce wanted Gray and Gray wanted to come. City wouldn't sanction a deal until another player had been sold.

With little chance of that happening before the deadline Andre Gray did what he did even though i suspect that Burnley was not on his wish list. Guess Gray was desperate to get out of Brentford.

At least Gray is within a 2 hour drive from Moses now and vice versa. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

To be honest I really don't understand why the buyout clauses aren't time limited like many other teams do i.e the clause is only in effect until 2 weeks before the window closes. If the players refused to agree to that they should have been moved on at that time instead of giving them such a powerful contract. Now it could put us in a position where we are stuck with half a squad until January, ridiculous planning from the club, is this something on their CV which we can question?

I've said this many times. There's absolutely no logic to it.

I suppose at least Bruce is media friendly unlike Mourinho, I'm suprised an interviewer hasn't punched his *ucking lights out by now.
