Remember our dip in form in the weeks leading up to the Cup Final?

A lot of this was put down to some players playing a way to minimise their own chances of getting an injury.

Maybe this is the same situation we have with players like Hudds, Jelly and even Robertson AND the closing of the transfer window.

Or maybe it was just too hot to play football today.

Meylers a similar player to Ashbee, in that he breaks up opposition play and does the things many fans seem incapable of seeing or appreciating. Has a goal in him too. Ashbee had as many haters as he did fans and it's no different for Meyler.

i agree with everything except for the 'has a goal in him' part, no worse than all the other midfielders though.

Ryan Woods Shrewsbury Town?

Marcus Maddison, Peterborough or Danny Mayer, Bury ?? Also players like Hourihane at Barnsley and Lalkovic at Walsall have started the season well. Still surprised nobody's taken a punt on Scougall at Sheffield United (did well very well against us in the cup semi-final).

Think Tom Bradshaw at Walsall would be a good signing, kid's having a storming start to the season!

£9 million for Jelavic, apparently his buy out clause is only £3 million.

Are you in charge of all Hull City transfers?

Where have you got the info about his buy out clause from? £3m makes no sense at all. Why would you put a buy out clause in that is less than half what you paid for him.

If Meyler left tomorrow and Huddlestone stayed I'd feel we had lost something, if Huddlestone left. I would feel rather relieved . Souness was right when he said Huddlestone should be in a bigger team, because what he brings is very little to the team amd with world class players around him. he doesn't stand out as much. He has alot of effort to put in at Hull and I dont think he's up to it.

Didn't we train in Portugal over pre-season where it would have been a lot hotter?
