and his assists to add on ......
I repeat...What puzzles me is this: If Gray is such a marvel as some posters on here are claiming then why are Brentford letting him go?
Perhaps it's a bit like the Shane Long situation with us - the money being offered is so silly that they'd be daft to turn it down. I think we'd be daft to pay the money being asked for him. If it was my money I certainly wouldn't be interested. at that price.

Midfield still an issue for me, at least in the short term. I know we may have Diame and Snodgrass to come in, but it may be December before they are both up to full speed. I wouldn't mind another loan in for someone like Nick Powell, or another Arsenal guy like Gabriel Zelalem. The latter would certainly add a bit more pace and direct running into our midfield.
Joey Barton if he hasn't signed for forest (I'm sure olm said we could sign 3 players for 50k a week each before hitting the ffp. So don't give me we couldn't afford his wages line)

As much as it pains me "and it does" I could not agree more with ^^^^^^^^ this.

What I have been saying for ages.

SB to AA : can we buy this striker please?
AA to SB: no you have loads. Sell one first. Yes you have lost one but we still have jelly, aluko, chubby, Abel, and some young un. Two off them are on big wages and I am not splashing 7(8,9 depending on who you agree with) on another big contract.

Bruce then starts the talks to grab a march on the rest, and finds that no one follows up on Jelly and Abel. Stalemate.
We may close the window on what we have in which case we can't afford Gray. If we knew one was out the door we'd have done this. A sensible owner isn't going to take a punt on buying now in the hope we offload one, with the gamble that we may not and shaft our budget.
The timing seems to have gone all wrong for us, probably as a buyer has backed out for AH. We may lose out as a result, but that's how it is.
Relegation is ****.

Albert Scroggins ? If there is one out there sign him up regardless. <whistle><rofl>

I wouldn't go Scroggins. Not now. Not with those charges hanging over him.

Donk Pederson might be a lumbering lummox but could do a job at this level.

Or Romalou MacAlpine. Straight as a die and super fast. Like Highway.

Riki Tikki-Tavi? Now there's one aggressive little midfielder. Scared of nowt. Just what we need.

If anyone ever says i've watched Albert Scroggins at Barnstoneworth for the last 5 games and he is excellent. I'll give it some value. But pretending people are really really knowledgable about X player just from FIFA or scouring who Arsenal/Chelsea have in their reserves GTF

A good shout Scroggins - a legend in his own *** break! He wears proper football boots that cover the ankles! I'd go for Seymour Clearly - he's got good vision!
