People are bonkers if they honestly believe Gray is worth 9m with all the add-ons. You've been victims of the transfer merry go round. Well done for not falling for it city and staying well away. The man is simply not worth that amount of money and the evaluation from people with regards to his ability.....how many times have you actually watched the man play?
So we're still owed income for Shane Long, it works both ways.. The money from Long is virtually offsetting the money for Diame and Hernandez, the money from the parachute payments would be helping with wages, and the PL money we received would be helping pay for the other transfers. We did get around 65m after all...

Which is impossible to judge as player adapt to different teams differently. If he scores 20 for Bristol City doesn't mean he will get 20 for us.
In other news Saints bought Juanmi from Malaga for 5m. Saw this guy play a lot in Spain last year, played for Spain too. Just 4m cheaper than Gray.
I don't get your point. We're arguing over how Gray will go this season. Surely it's worth waiting to see how he actually goes rather than deal in hypotheticals.
I think he'll go very well, others disagree. No one is 'right' since the season hasn't happened yet.

He's been playing in Spain, which is the problem. Gray plays in the same league we're in, and so is already settled. Just look at Prozzie, Sagbo and Hernandez as examples of players we've brought in from foreign leagues.
If Gray scored 20 goals for Bristol City, who have one of the weaker squads in the league, you would think that's a pretty good indication of his ability.
It's up to Bruce to be able to forecast what a player will bring to this club, that's partly what he's paid for. He's made some poor decisions on that in recent times.
Quite a lot and I really rate the guy, he's strong, fast and a real worker, he has bags more goals/assists in him than anyone I can think of of similar money.

I find it funny that people are seemingly disregarding both the sale of Long for 12m, and the PL money we received last season to the tune of around 65m when going on about outstanding transfer fees and other amounts owing.
Just read an article in the HDM linking us with Dwight Gayle but interestingly in the same article it says Glenn Murray might be available, I'd take Murray in a flash over Gayle or Gray going on what I saw last season when he played for Palace
All of it. There's **** loads to take into account before you can come to the correct figure. Likewise there's ****loads to take into account before you can come to the correct sales/buying figures. It also assumes FFP is done on a season by season basis, it's not, it's over a three year period.
