The responses to transfer activity in the last few interviews seems to be implying no more other than our existing two targets.

So unless we lose the likes of Elmo, Thudd etc then that may be it for this window.

Hm ok, post-match he seemed to suggest otherwise.

Huddlestone's one long pass is pinging it to Elmo. 10 million would be an amazing deal assuming it was spent on players and also not just spent speculatively by Bruce. I doubt top tier teams are looking at Huddlestone now though. An ok but not great performance against Huddersfield will not bring in the bidders I think.

The highlighted bit is bollocks. And even so when he pings it to Elmo to run onto it still generates a good Attack, in fact probably the only way we managed to attack at all last season.

£10m would be a good price, obviously that's just a number pulled out of my arse and we've no idea what it would actually be. My worry is that I can't think of anyone to replace him with, who can offer a similar standard of passing from midfield. Maybe a number 10 to play higher up the pitch but that then means playing with only one striker or the dreaded and dour 5 at the back.

I don't think anyone would buy him off the back of one performance at any level, more like about 10 solid years at the highest level of the game. Professionals know all about him and despite what many on here like to say about him he's easily premier league standard.

I'm guessing his release clause is high, as I'm surprised he's still here.

****e format...too much talking not enough highlights!
Yeah, you'd have thought that C5 would have given it some effort, instead it looks like they've just grabbed a couple of presenters, any presenters, along with a crowd of mongs wearing football shirts, put them together and hoped that, along with a few mixed up highlights, they'd have a success on their hands.

Rubbish C5.

Aluko could be a good CAM for us, not the pressure of being a striker, but can use his pace and footwork to unlock defences.

I hope Brucey is sat at home watching the AZ v Ajax match!! Anwar El Ghazi for Ajax! BOOM!! What a strike!!
Just done a Google search- 20 yr old, left, right or central attacker & valued around £3m.
This scouting lark is a piece of piss!!

Lovely goal that wasn't it, just switched it on as he was lining it up

Like he'd sign for us. Not a chance.

There's no way West Ham will be in for Huddlestone after the debut performance of Reece Oxford V Arsenal aged 16 and 200 odd days.

He was outstanding and he had the highest pass completion of any midfielder on the pitch - I'm sure the commentators said 95%. This lad will go right to the very top - he was that good.
