Reading the Brentford forum, they don't think it will be accepted. They think it will take £8m up front for Gray alone.
we wanted 15 million for Brady.Reading the Brentford forum, they don't think it will be accepted. They think it will take £8m up front for Gray alone.
I think at the moment we are using this strategy (bidding for a package deal) to force Brentford's hand. I'm sure we would take Odubaju on his own as you say, Bruce has been impressed by him, but he also needs a proven striker. Admittedly, Gray has done it in a lower league, but I believe Bruce has seen enough (or been given enough feedback) to have some faith that Gray may fill that role adequately at this level. Our negotiating team will also see that Brentford will need some guaranteed cash injection to complete their own shopping list. They've already spent a bit, and will need to spend more. They will reach a tipping point pretty soon I suspect We are using a form of leveraging here to get 'em both, with a plan B to take just one of them. We may be holding all the cards.Im not buying that "Its both of them or neither of them" crap..
Bruce has said he's been watching Odubajo since 2013 when Orient played City in a cup game and said he should have signed him back then, since that game he's been keeping an eye on him. If Bruce likes him and feels he's right for us, it doesnt matter if we agree a deal for Gray.
I cant see how the 2 deals are related other then them both being from Brentford.
Following the news that Hull have bid for AndreGray, here's a clip of his best goals for Brentford.. (if it works)

Well, considering the majority of your argument has consisted of him not scoring much (despite the fact he's not a striker, something that seemingly needs to be repeated), his assists and his age, it pretty much looks like you're focusing on stats.
You also really seem to be underrating the MLS. If you actually watched it, you'd realise it's a good league. Not amazing, but it isn't dog **** like the A-League.
So would you want to sign a League One midfielder who was struggling in a side towards the bottom of the division, wasn't rated very highly by the supporters, was 32, so isn't exactly going to improve over the season or the next few seasons, and didn't seem to be contributing much offensively?
Can you at least understand why I have the opinion I do? I don't care if you don't agree with it. I can understand why you have your opinion, can you understand why I have mine?

Haha to be fair Chicago has confirmed that we bid for him.Okay, in the game of life you two buggers are now classified as moving targets and nobody gives a ****; nothing the press writes will be believed nor will it be discussed - you have been warned!![]()

The feeling I get is we are getting further away from a deal. They are beginning to waver and waiver. It's getting closer to a "done deal".
