Southend need to know their place and when a club like QPR and Hull come in for one of your players for a big sum of money by League One standards then you can't stand in his way of an opportunity to the top flight. By all accounts Bentley could be Premier League standard in the future. The chances of Southend being promoted aren't a guarantee and even then their chances of getting to the top flight are minimal.

We have to know our place when a bigger club come in for one of our players and so do Southend. Southend are trying to prove they are no push overs but in reality I think it just makes them look bitter and spiteful. That kind of money for Southend at that level could really help them out in the long run.
What a complete and utter crock of ****
I hope you're just on a wind up

Signings are usually announced on the hour, my guess is 18:00 for the new lads.

They're usually not announced on Mondays I don't think. There are certain days that are better for announcements and I think they try to do these things at the end of the week, or at the very least when there's little other news or no bigger news.

Might have it backwards.

I'm pretty sure they said they'd "hope to announce it tomorrow" yesterday - Hayden wasn't announced until 8pm if I remember correctly.

Yeah, I thought it was Fridays that was the day where no announcements were made, with anything worth announcing being left to monday.

That's what our American plastic once told us.
Yea I wrote up something once about the best days for information/fundraising/press releases etc being distributed from organizations in order to get the most press/money/open rates etc. I did that and analyzed the statistics for all of it for a long time in my job. We just don't seem to care, but Monday's are the best and Fridays are the worst there is even a specific hour in each day that is the best and worst. If we did care, it's to late for an announcement today and you would want it to go out so that it hit the net/emails etc right before 9am tomorrow that way it was at the top of everyone's box and news feed when they turn on their computers at work in the morning with the papers having enough time to get it out tomorrow morning to.
