Not superstitious or anything, but the last time in my recollection we bought 2 players from the same team in the same deal, City went into a purple patch.
Ken Houghton & Ian Butler in 64-65. I have a good feeling about these two potential signings. Let it happen.

Would you count Huddlestone and Livermore? Since essentially we had them both at the same time.

Not really, it was a mini-purple patch...the other was much longer lived. Mind you, they were playing with Chilton & Wagstaff.
PS. I think they were signed on the same day from Rotherham

Odubajo also knows Hayden from England U20 and Gray knows Clucas from England C a couple years ago.

I don't know if anyone's read the HDM story today but it looks like they know absolutely sod all. It's all guess work and rehashing other stories.
 
Assuming the stories are correct and we're signing Hayden to play defensive midfield, is there really any point in taking a risk with Palacios?

The signing is definitely happening by the way, he's in Hull now.
 
If we can sign the 3 main players that we're apparently after, Grey, Odubajo & Bentley, we'll have a very decent looking Championship squad.

What we'd need next is a number 10, a koren type player, as currently we have no really creative player who can link midfield to attack through the centre and that is what we lacked last season.
