It's been to many years since I took Greek, I don't remember anything. I left Greece in 1994 I think.

Think the last time I was in Greece (pre-Euro) was 1989 and I seem to recall there being around 525 Drachma to the pound back then. Italy (2001) I think there were just over 3000 Lira to the pound.

Assuming we get £7 million for Brady and £8 million for Chester along with the money we got for Ince, we should have £19,750,000 to spend on players, not to mention any money we'd get for the three strikers. We should at the very least put a bid in for Whittingham.

I'll be disappointed if we resort to giving the likes of Palacios a contract.

Because that money will go to things like the wage bill, stewarding costs, a new swivel chair in the board room, not to mention the money we still owe on some of the players that are here (Huddlestone, Livermore, Jelavic etc).

Aren't parachute payments supposed to cover that to an extent? Either way, we've reduced our wage bill since being relegated by releasing and selling players. I think it's pretty obvious the Allam's aren't going to splash the cash because they've have their ridiculous name change rejected for a second time but replacing our players with inferior ones on the cheap won't get us back to the Premier League.

I still don't understand why we released Rosenior only to replace him with an injury-plagued liability like Taylor.

I'd prefer Chester go to WBA than Lecister but it doesn't matter to much if they have both put in bids of 8 mill. People on Facebook are saying the 8 mill bids have been accepted, have we had any confirmation of that?

The good thing is with two matching bids is I would assume £8m is the release amount? We can now stipulate that that amount is full amount rather than add ins etc. so we could end up with the full £8m in one hit.

why does everyone keep banging on about us getting rid of Quinn rosie etc....we offered them deals, they turned them down! move on! its getting boring

Rosenior wanted to stay. We didn't offer him a deal; we let him go.
