Didn't Newcastle buy there, 1st choice keeper last season part of the deal was he was loaned back for the season, so I would presume they are in the market for a second keeper this season.

Yeah they sold Darlow and Lascelles and had them loaned back. If Newcastle don't lose Krul they might get him back. Or, they could end up with Rob Elliot <laugh>

Just seen the Chester news, devastated he's going, hope this won't turn out like when we sold Jobbo, the club went downhill for 16 odd years after that

Cant see it getting that bad, we've still got the making of a decent side, it be interesting to see who come's in, its what come's with relegation, it happen to most teams who come down.

Going to throw this one in...not sure if its been mentioned.

Its going to be a long battle to get out the championship....so what about Joey Barton...available....no current premier league interest. would enable Tom H to push further foward which is were I think he would be far more effective.

I know this will probably get hammered but think we could do a lot worse right now.

Let us see what players we have at the start of the season, and also after the transfer window closes, and indeed when the emergency loan window is open. TWT after all
BTW are you a greengrocer by any chance?

There are a lot of similarities between Chezzy and Jobbo, the quality of their play, the way they handle themselves, you can't get that back once it's gone. He wasn't perfect Chester but he's the best we've had since Jobbo, now he's gone :emoticon-0106-cryin

He wasn't all that. I'm sure you'll get over your man-crush given time and counselling.

First time we were relegated = disaster , this time = setback.

He's very good, but he's way overrated on this forum, there's obviously a reason only bottom 6 clubs are in for him. If he was wanted by the top clubs he'd have gone because 8m is nothing to the top half teams.

The clubs that were in for him finished 7th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th, so only two were bottom six clubs.

Hope so, I remember Jobbo coming back and he was roundly booed and fans likewise saying 'we won't miss him'. 6 or more Prem clubs in for Chester I was reading the other day, not bad for somebody who isn't 'all that' (Mr Hatem). We are in a better spot defensively these days with Davies/Daws/Maguire so unless injuries happen the current Buckley for the fans (Bruce) won't see action, and with new signings coming should deal with it a lot better, but still.
