Monaco have just released Berbatov, so that's our striker sorted.
Surprised by that one. By all accounts he's had a cracking season performance wise.
You did this with Eoin Doyle last season, they're just one hit wonders who did well at lower league level. Matty Done managed 7 in 14 which is decent, but he's more of a wide forward than an out and out striker, more like Elliot for us.
Henderson's goalscoring record before last season was piss poor, Williams wasn't much better although he's had a couple of decent seasons in the past. He's just been released by Swindon, but I saw that he went on loan to Yeovil in their Championship season and failed miserably.
We need to be buying Championship goalscorers (that aren't Daryl Murphy), we're going to have to splash some cash to get one that's reliable but if we want out of this league at the first attempt, we're going to have to go for it.

I'd be more than happy with Beckford. He's a bit of a tool but free - unless he's just signed - and has done it at multiple levels including ours and the one above.
I wouldn't mind Igor Vetokele from Charlton, he's got a pretty good record and at 23, he's got a long way to go.

I said a few weeks back I'd take a hungry ALF with something to prove. Put him alongside a pacey poacher, a la Beckford, and that's promotion right there.
Promising, but if Anderlecht are interested then he'll no doubt go there, they'll be in Europe next season.
