A couple of dutch and german clubs were interested. They even got two bids on him which they(Stabæk) rejected (30 sep.) Steve Bruce says they signed him because of his extreme pace and ability to score lots of goals. We have apparently scouted him for some time.

Well.. Roughly…this is what he says;
He´s been asked a question when he got the call from Hull. He says he was asleep and was about to charge his phone (!?!!) when his agent called and said that Hull were interested. He says he was very keen on signing for Hull as its a great club…And since the manager was quite desperate to sign him he got a bit flattered. (Steve Bruce called his agent in the morning. He also called Diomande later in the afternoon. This time he was very desperate and asked why things weren't sorted out) They ask him if Hull were desperate to sign him because we sold Jelavic. He says he don't know but neither him or Stabæk could say no to the offer they got. He´s asked what he knows about Hull City. He says he knows about the legend Steve Bruce
and have followed english football for years. "Do you know where Hull on the map?" Its on the right side, he says, laughing. Its a small town but its prudent (!) to move there.He says championship is a step up and he thinks england is the best football nation in the world. (I think he means the league). Then he says he´s looking forward to play in Prem League with Hull. He´s asked if its a dream come through. He says of course…and then he says: "theres a lot of crazy people over there (players) but i´m quite crazy myself so it will work out quite well.
Norwegian or Icelandic! I wouldn't recommend danish. Its like talking with a potato in your mouth!
So many dialects though! I wouldn't know which one to learn. I read somewhere that the East Riding dialect shares similarities with the Danish dialects. Icelandic interests me because it's the closest to Old Norse and as a history student I would like to read sagas in their original form.
If they don't score goals Sterling they are not 'strikers' they are 'passengers'. Neither Graham, Sagbo or Altidore were known as 'target men', 'hold-up players' or anything other than 'striker' and they all failed miserably - with us anyway.
Sagbo had all the attributes to be a good player.

Neither did Bruce unfortunately. Let's hope he doesn't **** this boy up by playing him at RWB or left winger or.......... you get the drift. Just let him play his natural game
Well Hull's not a small town it's a city, but with Steve Bruce saying it's just a little place before the FA Cup final that's what many will end up thinking.

THE transfer window is closed but that's not stopped the rumour mill at the KC Stadium
Today's Daily Mirror links City with a move for veteran midfielder Kevin Nolan, who is now a free agent after leaving West Ham United.
Steve Bruce admitted his liking for Nolan after the weekend win over Preston and could feasibly make a move at any point for the unattached 33-year-old.
Nolan would not be wanting for experience. The former Bolton and Newcastle man has amassed almost 600 games in senior football and twice won promotion out of the Championship.
Nolan was heavily linked with a move to Cardiff City last week only for manager Russell Slade to play down the links.

We could do with somebody of his experience to help the younger lads coming through and the likes of Clucas and Diomande who are stepping up, even if he didn't play much he could be a positive signing, a bit like a very **** version of Jay Jay Okocha
