I can't understand all this hand ringing because we didn't spend £8m pr £9m on a player who scored 1 goal for every six shots he took last season and before that was playing in the Conference. If we lose Jela or Hernandez then we will need to bring in someone else but for now we have 3 quality strikers that are our players and Akpom who looks like he will get 20 or more goals this season..

We spent a lot of money on Hernandez but his pedigree is much better than Gray. He had spent 4 seasons in Series A and Series B and scored 7 international goals for a top 20 country. He looks much less of a panic buy than Gray does for Burnley.

I think we are putting together an exciting squad and I hope that our young players like Luer are given a chance to show what they can do..

Tell us his last good game, and when he's done it consistently ?
I think it's you who plays to much FIFA

No I don't play computer games at all, they bore me. It's a shame some City fans need to have a scape goat - looks like it's Meyler this season. Why don't you support Man City or Chelsea which will have an abundance of players that fit your profile.

Ha ha you clown I didn't rate meyler last season or the season before.... I'm not blaming meyler for anything I just don't share your love for him for having 1 good game.
I applogise for not sharing your opinion but if I did this would be a boring place
Anyway how you doing with telling me when meylers last consistant run of good games was?
Or have you just decided to change the subject and tell me to support someone else

Harper was on RH on Wednesday night. He told Burns and Swan that he understood the decision to release him given that the other two keepers had years left on their contracts. Neither SB - nor any of us I suspect - were expecting howlers from both of our keepers in the opening few games.

I suspect that you suspect wrongly.

We still need another striker because the two we currently have along with one teenager on loan won't be enough over a long season.
Brentford paid 500k for Gray from the conference, Peterborough not much more for Gayle so why can't our scouting network unearth a similar gem?

Aluko on a Free from the land of cave dwelling unwashed barbarians?

He hasnt put a foot wrong this season, why would he be a scapegoat?

Just because he's ****e in the Premier League, doesn't mean he can't do a good job this season.

No. Although they seem to be saying that Jelavic is something like £2.2m.
I think more clubs are bothered about the wages than the transfer fees although obviously both matter.

Don't believe that. If we paid nearly £7m for him, and the clause was inserted when that contract was written, the the release figure will be at least what we paid if not more. Take the unproven Ince who could not get into our match day squad (never mind the first XI). We paid £2.25m, the release clause was £4.5m. I'll be happy if Jellavic and Hernandez go at the same ratio. £34m (!!!) should help us find suitable replacements.

Gives the ball away too much, slack in possession, low awareness, crap passing range. Makes up for it by having 'lots of energy and passion'. Not traits that make up a Premier League footballer.
All the things Huddestones got yet i know which one I'd rather have in the team. Get back to FIFA or naming obscure ****ing players you've never really seen.

You're simply highlighting what poor judgement you have of a player that plays for a team you allegedly support.

So, is it Citeh or Chelsea?

If you want to do the research on Meyler - feel free. I'd recommend Google or Squawka. You clearly have time on your hands in between FIFA games.

This may help.

I haven't changed the discussion. I just think you'd be better off supporting a team with players that better match your pre requisites.

This week it's Meyler, who will it be next week, just so I know?
