There is Aluko and Luer to add to that lot. If Maloney comes in we have a lot in midfield. We can easily revert to one up front if needs must.

We have plenty. Probably more than any other side in the league (without looking at their squads)

I am more of a quality over quantity type of guy.

I agree completely. We should have been signing Gray before he signed for Brentford. I said as much last season that we should have been taking a couple of punts on lower league players, who are young strong and fast.
But paying 9 million is not on for us.
I want to see Luer develop and get a chance too. I hope plays from the start against Rochdale and bangs a few in.

Given there's all sorts of statistics on clubs and players it would be good to see a list of players in each position side by side for each club.

I like Aluko but he is a waste of a strikers spot and Luer will never become a 1st choice 6-7M man like the two I've mentioned have become in such a short time (hope I'm wrong here!)
 
We are a top end Championship club - I hope - so we should be spending money to get into the Premier League and in preparation for the Premier League. If we spend money on reasonable Championship players and we get promoted that will mean a total overall.
We seem to be doing well at Academy level but it's a long way between where we are there and the Premier League.
If the Allams want their money back they will have a much better chance if we get promoted.
 
Of course we could lose a few more but lets be honest here does anybody really thing somebody is going to pay more then 5 mill for huddelstone or 7 mill plus for hernandez.. yes maybe jelavic is worth a punt for maybe norwich but they are trying to sign more mobile forwards and which other club will really pay 50k a week for him.. we have on paper by far the stringest squad in this league.. can someone tell me another squad which they would rather have then ours in This league...

We already have a premiership squad why do we need to add to it
 
Diame was never going to stay which was agreed when we bought him so really we have only lost chester and brady and maybe quinn but if snodgrass, diame etc are all fit he wouldnt get a game anyway...

Thats premiership team then add maguire, bruce, akpom, maloney, moses plus some of the young players we have never had a stronger championship squad
