Nottingham Forest have joined QPR and Hull in the race to sign Southend goalkeeper Daniel Bentley.

The question is whether we are really interested in him...?

We definitely were.. There's no doubt about that, Bruce had talks with Phil Brown (Southend manager) about Bentley.. but so far nothings really happened.. unless talks are ongoing.

I still hope we get him, McGregor just does not fill me with confidence. Even todays game he makes another error and it costs us a goal, yes it was just a friendly but a mistake is a mistake and he cost us points last season.

Hello. Hull based Brentford fan here (the only one!). Just so you know we will only sell when our valuation of Andre Gray is met. If no club meets that valuation then we won't sell.

Just so we know eh?

So being a Brentford fan automatically gives you insight into what your Chairman will sell or won't sell at does it?

Our valuation of Brady was apparently £15M but he's gone for £7M anyway.

Your clubs valuation of Gray is £8M. Now do the maths.

I'm on ignore so I may as well call you a knobhead again.

Hull City AFC (GLP) called you a knobhead. I agree with him.

Haha what did you say to him? I have a couple people on ignore just for racist stuff but with the mom threads coming up I have to take everyone off ignore.

Not sure to be honest. I've caught him out a few times, he's acknowledged that his user name is irony to the extreme ;)

I damn well hope we are serious about Bentley who looks like a star of the future. McGregor cost us crucial points last season with his fumbling errors and inability to deal with long shots. Yesterday was just further proof of his unsuitability to be a starter this season. Saying that yesterdays error was "not that bad" as claimed by one apologist on here is ludicrous. It was downright pathetic...and was a repeat of several similar gross mistakes last year. Its time Bruce woke up!!

Being a Brentford fan means I know what our club and Matthew Benham have said in the past and that is players under contract will be sold when the club's valuation is met. Naturally the biggest premium is for players who score goals.

Yes, but in fairness isn't that what all clubs with any commercial acumen would do. We don't sell players unless our valuations are met.

I bet you'll struggle to turn down £6m, then again after Odubajo going cheap you could be quite peeved and dig your heels in
