Niang went down 'cos Niasse's foot caught him. Didn't see it as over-acting particularly.

How the Clown Shoe, who was staring directly at the tackle from about 10 yards away, deemed it a straight red is beyond me.

Players know. Look at Niasse's eyes when he sees the red. His expression is one of total disbelief. He knew it was just an innocuous late challenge. Nothing more.

It really was a ridiculous decision but I don't think Niang had any bearing on an incompetent piece of refereeing.
And, as he came off, their players were putting a hand on his shoulder, with a - "Bad luck, pal".

Haven't seen it yet but this is so familiar. Refs have been giving us incredibly harsh harsh reds all season and every time it's been quick as a flash like they absolutely can't wait to do it. Surely they should be certain if they're giving a red yet its about the 5th or 6th time this season we've had a ref give us a red card instantly like it's absolutely clear cut when it really really isn't.

I've said it before but were easy to punish and it goes unnoticed. No way would Stoke get these decisions against them at home but refs aren't scared of crowds like ours. When you go to some grounds you notice how much stick the ref gets for every decision even when it's obviously right. It definitely affects their decisions.

Ref looked scared to death when he came off at half time.

Niang and Madley put fire in our bellies today. Both on and off the pitch. What a brilliant day, we fought like Tigers and got what we deserved. Would it have been the same without them? I doubt it.

If Madley is any sort of man he'll admit his mistake in the match report and the card will be rescinded. I live in hope.

my money is on him not being any kind of man.

According to some, it 'all evens itself out in the end'.

Can't wait then because if that's the case, we're well safe.

Two soft reds and a clearly offside goal to come for us - and that's just for starters.

When your at the match you can usually tell by watching it plus player reactions and for me it didn't look bad, bit naughty but never a red. Plus opposition players reactions are a great indicator and I can't remember one appealing as if he should be sent off! Funny how refs get influenced, there was a handball near me in the east stand and the ref took an age to give it, almost like the crowd swayed him, plus love the old point at the ball when the opposition have a corner and the ref comes to check!! Our refs have been a joke this season as a fan you just want consistency.

I guess you didn't go today then PLT , the crowd certainly let their feelings be known to both the ref and niang

I never do. Good to hear he got the stick he apparently deserved. I don't think we're anywhere near as whiney as fans at certain other clubs are though and it definitely makes a difference. When you go to Stoke it's unbelievable the anger there almost permanently. People talk about their atmosphere but I've never heard them particularly back the team just constant vociferous ref moaning and it really does help them. They're not the only ones by any means.

He was ****e today and I thought I had seen him give one of the best displays somewhere this season.

****e is as high as most referees can aspire to, but for most of them it's way out of reach.

Our crowd are far too nice....We are not intimidating to the officials or the other side.....When an ex player comes back they even clap the git, why I have no idea, because the player couldn't give a to$$. That is for sure.

That annoys me, the corner thing. Either change the rule so that all of the ball has to be in the quadrant or don't bother, why on Earth fans get so pissed off about it is beyond me. Like half a centimetre really makes a difference when crossing the ball from a corner.

I suspect he'll be given a week off... messed up with Herrera last week Manu/Chelsea and today. I think they call it being taken out of the firing line.
