They regard the Commercial side as more important, hence focus on getting control of the Stadium

In order to increase the value of the club to sell off within the next 12-18 months. What they need to understand is that if we go down they won't get much, unless they pocket Gylfis transfer fee too.

Don't believe anything you read in the press Taff, especially when its yet another regurgitation of yesterdays news from the King of journalistic vomit, Neil Fissler. His previous headline regarding the Swans was:

"Swansea double transfer sweep: Nacer Chadli and Carl Jenkinson lined up by Neil Clement"

The dick can't even copy our managers name correctly.

Fissler is a 'cut and paste' journalist who makes a living repeating the views and ideas of others. You'll never get any insight from this prick.

Interesting to hear Mike Ashley say he can't compete with the big spenders because he's not wealthy enough and remember their attendances are more than double ours. Our American owners are probably in the same boat and this is why we have to receive transfer fees before we can spend on signings. Perhaps a reality check is needed by those who want to spend, spend, spend.

Were the **** is or has anyone suggested spend spend spend. we have spent exactly nothing, so no one is going on about spending ridiculous amounts of money, but if you are a PL club and cant afford to spend anything which is exactly what we have done then maybe we should go down gracefully.. I am sure the likes of hudderfield, Burnley, Brighton and others haven't got the means to compete with the big boys, but have still spent something, 2 of the clubs coming up are spending something to improve their team, so after 6 years in the PL we still cant compete with them.

Nearly every poster wants us to spend and is complaining that we haven't. I'm not saying we shouldn't but we need to be sensible about it and the teams you mention have spent but not silly money and I don't think we can or should be any different. It's not only Ashley who is unwilling,or unable to spend, WBA's Chinese owners are also reluctant to spend, Pulis himself has reportedly said this and what about Crystal Palace and even Spurs..

Everyone is complaining because our squad is dreadful. You watch Utd today? They'll annihilate us if we play like we did yesterday next week. It could get really embarrassing.

Everton have stuffed our transfer season............................:emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0130-devil
In many respects Phil, it is the Yanks who have stuffed us.

Whilst some may describe their actions as laudable in not caving in and demanding that Everton meet their full asking price, one perspective is that they are gambling £100+m (the value of a season in the PL) to get an extra £9m (if the reports are correct that Spurs get 10% of the fee, so the extra £10m falls to £9m). If they compromise on £45m, then the net gain is a "measly" £4.5m....

Had they taken the money earlier, Clement could have strengthened the squad by 2 or 3 players and had them in pre-season to get them ready.

Yes every poster on here do want us to spend and as you say the teams I have mentioned have spent sensible, but we haven't spent anything we are in this window in the black and as it stands worse off squad wise than we were last year. But claiming people on here are saying spend spend spend is wrong, they are not, but surely as an established PL club we should be able to expect the club to reinforce the squad/team and not be in a worse place at the start of a season.

We have not significantly improved the squad since Laudrup left , since then it's been a gradual decline in the squads quality. The Club are vey very proactive in strengthening the U23's for example and we still offer 4 year contracts to players who really have seen their best days , Bartley given a 4 year contract who went on loan last season ,who really thinks he's going dislodge Mawson or Fede . if the deal with Siggy is really that close than why not speculate and reinforce instead of making non sensical offers to Stoke for Allen when jerkins wouldn't pay a 3rd less for him last year . Smoke an bloody mirrors .

Laudrup stated that you needed to spend to just stand still, pity we've gone backwards with our player acquisitions. Why we have to go back in for ex players, need to get fresh blood in.

One of the good things about the PL is every game is different. I thought West Ham didn't show much fight today something I hope we will show next Saturday. I don't think our squad is dreadful but does need a bit of strengthening I would like to see a creative midfielder a right back and striker with a bit of pace all paid for by Siggy's sale. I don't think Allen, Bony or Chadli meet any of those criteria
