Then Naughton steps up for the 1st penalty , if ever there was somebody who didn't want to be there , you've just seen him
I thought the first team looked more attack minded and passed better than the second one. Our most experienced players missed their penalties and as well as Naughton I didn't think A Ayew's body language walking up looked good either. From those two games my starting eleven would be Amat, VDH, Dhanda, Asoro and 7 others. Ww def need a strong attacker to support Mcburnie and someone a bit more physical in midfield.
We still have no purpose in front of goal, easy game for Genoa as I see it, wish the nugget Naughton wasn’t still with us.......
Potter has such a hard task ahead of him, reality of the toughness of the Championship, will soon hit home after the first few defeats, it's on the cards I'm afraid with the amateur way we are going about this so-called rebuild, there are going to be a hell of a lot of season ticket holders seriously pissed off after the first 10 games.................
With us playing 2 games we did very well in both games and a good match workout for everyone, These are the type of games we need to get sharp and between the two games there are some stand out players Who will make a claim towards the final first starting eleven. These games are of great beneficial to a new manager who can have a good look at all his players under match conditions....
It was more about how they played than just scoring in these games.....Mcburnie had a good game and was full of running.....Friendlies are all about the players and what they have to offer.....Winning is nice but not that important in friendlies... Now if we got beat by a big score then we would be concerned but we never, So on to the next game and see what players potts pick this time......
I tend to agree having watched both games and I know they are friendlies, but Short of Amat VDH, Asoro, Mcburnie, I didn't see anything else who will keep us in the leafue, I thought Dhanda did ok, but I see him as bit part as he looked skilful but very lightweight and feel could get bullied, but he is young, Centre midfield for me is a massive worry, I saw nothing yesterday with combining both sides that I would think would be good enough for the start of the season, so if that squad is how we go into the season, then I will be putting money on us going down, for me we still need 4 or 5 experienced strong championship players. A big worry as it stands.
Wtf http://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2018/07/22/rafa-benitez-makes-loan-move-for-argentinian-defender-report/
why do we allow **** like this to happen, totally agree if you want him buy him FFS, they probably will after a year loan, when his contract has run down and they can get him cheaper. tell them pay up or fuxk off. but we wont and will roll over and allow them to have exactly what they want.
Fernandez is over the hill, he's not even a half decent defender anymore. In fact the only thing he's got going for him is his experience. Unless a club wants that, maybe to use him as part of their coaching team, I don't see them splashing out any cash for him. Maybe loaning him out is the only option we have to get rid. Personally, as long as he's not here in August to stink up the defense, I don't care what we do with him. If we can't sell or loan then we should seriously consider giving him away, I'll drive. At least then he'll out the picture which will greatly improve the quality of our defense.
