Still looks a pen to me, its by the by anyway you can't be making those challenges there.
My own opinion is that at this moment in their careers, when both paired with Caulker...Dunne is playing better than Rio.
That is all I am saying
I am truly surprised at that...I welcomed Rio more than most....as I thought he would have an Indian Summer of a season...and I thought Dunne was passed playing in the Premiership.
But what I am saying is that in the last few matches I have seen (ManU, Stoke, SHampton, WHU, Lpool, Villa and Chelsea)...Dunne has outplayed Rio
Rio was destroyed in the United, Wham matches....Dunne did pretty well vs Villa and Chelsea.
Fer seems to be quite a luxury player. His work rate really seems suspect whenever I watch him.
A fit Kranjcar would offer more imo and obviously a fit Taarabt would be a much better option.
I think players like Hoilett make big impacts when they come on later in games is because the game is becoming stretched, allowing more space and players are also tiring.
It was smart of Harry to keep Charley on when he brought on OBZ, but taking off Hoilett reduced our attacking threat
Unfortunately due to FIFA rules you're not allowed have 12 players on the pitch. That's not Harry's fault
Ozzie ain't you ever heard of not 100% fit? Bobby Zamora for example.
Kranjcar has a problem with his toe and there's not 90 minutes in him yet.

If Adel continues with his hard work in training I think he will be in the squad v Citeh.

Adel could be back, and LR will be rocking.
Why wasn't he Saturday then, SWP was!. I heard Harry say if Adel trained as hard that day (Thursday I believe) as he had done all week, maybe he would be in the squad for Chelsea, (he was muttering about the many who looked unavailable then). As he wasn't, I wondered if Adel was a sicko note again.
I thought that was a touch of sarcasm from Col ????

Ozzie, it takes more than a couple of days to go from fat to fit!
If he keeps training hard this week then he might be up for 20 minutes or so on Saturday evening. If he's not on the bench against City then we'll know he's not been working on his fitness.
Beth, I agree with you. Dunne is playing better than Rio and over the last couple of games he seems to have rolled back the years. I don't know if he can keep that up, but he should definitely start ahead of Rio, regardless of the 3 match ban.
That is a separate point to me thinking that Rio is still a better player than many on here believe him to be. I suspect that, when he gets the chance, he may prove a few wrong. Time will tell.
One thing we have to admit to is that the problem isn't FITNESS - we're just SLOW. We can't keep up with the pace of the top teams. Yun played nervous, far too panicky, in awe of Chelsea and nearly got ran out of the park. But for being slow, Sandro, Isla, Caulker and Henry even - they're at full stretch much too often. They played OK as a unit most of the game squeezing them out of the middle as a pack, but too slow as individuals. It was amazing to see Dunne keep up with Costa, but then again Costa's not too fast, he's just big and holds it up well.
The Vargas-Isla combo needs to improve. Vargas is about the only one deadly quick. Isla needs to learn to be more confident on the ball and pick better passes.
