Had a thought who might be a class appointment to replace Ashworth.

Someone who's out of work and won't cost compensation.
Someone who understands the business side of it.
Someone who understands the training side of it.
Someone who understand the transfer side of it.
Someone who has previously designed a new training ground.
Someone who knows the owners.
Someone who knows the club.
Someone who understands the club.

I suggest to you .......

Rafa Benitez

<laugh> it's nowhere near 20 million and it's no coincidence why after all this time it went through when the toon were desperately trying to appease the Premier league. Literally caved June 30th! Think mcfly think!

Newcastle were and still are facing double the penalty Everton were. The Almiron sale will sort things out though....there's a two week threshold and will be ok if they can demonstrate negotiations started before July 1st.

Do you have a source for this two week threshold apart from Ben Jacobs?

Every journalist and there isn't a single source to the contrary. The only opposition is essentially what a few fans think and they have 'nothing'.

It's very simple to work it out anyway... Newcastle had to meet a PSR deadline 1st July and we're desperately thrashing around trying to get in cash.... what is more likely in that situation ?

1.Newcastle took what Man United were offering

2 Man United suddenly decided to cave in and cough up 20 million because they wanted to help.

I just think we or they decided to meet half way. Deal done or it would go to tribunal.

Definitely needed the sales of Minteh and Anderson. Quite why we left it to last minute though. I don’t know.

Unless they thought they where ok then come came from PL to suggest tougher punishments for breaches maybe?

I understand the Newcastle fans have had their balls clipped over this, but trying to claim this as a win is silly.

Man United simply took our sporting director and then paid the amount they chose to pay despite Newcastles ownership kicking and squealing like a little girl for months.

Now Ashworths a moron and I'm this or that... it's not my fault I just don't have to blow smoke up the clubs arse and twist everything to suit my emotional preferences.

I picked one of your "every journalist" at random.
I've done a Google search and twitter says...

Perhaps someone can show a single shread of evidence that Newcastle weren't having issues with PSR.? Am I really supposed to ignore all thr evidence and instead go with a fans scribbled calculations?

What's happened is that Newcastle have delayed the Ashworth situation until the PSR deadline and then accepted Man Uniteds terms.

So your "every journalist" statement is incorrect?

Other theory on that is Man Utd were at the threshold of psr themselves, hence why they never signed anyone in Jan despite spending big for several windows running.

Bare in mind they made a loss of £115m in 22 alone and then a loss of £26.8m in 23, and had spunk £65m on Mount, £73m on Hojlund, £50m on Onana, £9m on Amrabat loan etc.

Actually, looking at it......

They lost £92.22m in 21
They lost £115.51m in 22
They lost £28.68m in 23

They lost £236.41m - How the hell have they not been pulled up?

Yep, just like his "every Newcastle fan" statement ....

You're actually incorrect.

If all the journalists that are saying something are saying the same thing regarding x y or z then saying every journalist is fine.

Perhaps you can show me one that isn't? That's all I'm asking you all for.. so far nothing but spite.

I’ll be honest I don’t read a lot of their stuff but when I have, you often see “as reported by x y z in xyz” chief among those types is our friend Luke.

which to fair to him is a bit better than the chronicles reporting which is normally Newcastle v opposition as generated in football manager or 10 things we’ve learned bollox.

The old school journos that I used to like such as caulkin and winter just don’t seem to give a **** anymore, seems like they prefer being paid to go on podcasts these days

It really isn't, that's like saying everyone who doesn't vote at the upcoming election would have voted for which ever party you care to name ...

But hey, Carry on Wumming ...
