Just read an article claiming that Howe wasn't consulted on the addition of Mitchell and that he's feeling a bit peeved that he wasn't consulted first as he doesn't know Mitchell. It goes on to suggest that Howe is an empire builder who prefers appointing those he trusts and has pre existing relationships with, wherever possible.
No PL manager should expect to be afforded that amount of power, especially over the DoF appointment. Mitchell has a good reputation, so if Howe genuinely doesn't like it then he'll br the one at threat.

Howe or any other manager should always be the one under threat. It comes as part of the job. You don't build long term foundations by making appointments that will leave every time a change of manager leaves.

ame. I mean the kid is highly rated but it’s a high fee for a player with 1 season under his belt.

I would love it if he fails.
I think we’re all this happens, to him and anyone else they sign for the next forever!

Maybe Ca$hworth’s acting as a double agent and leading ManUre down a path of **** signings for silly money leaving us to hoover up better quality signings :1980_boogie_down:
