Carroll - is it possible? And would you even want him?

Him and Ashley both provide proof that scamming Liverpool of £20m was their plan all along
He cuts his hair
He stops being a ****
He starts scoring again

Then I'd take him back. The odds on all that happening are quite low though

1. That would make him the biggest hero ever and vindicate Ashley, in my eyes. But probably end with a nasty law suit.
2. Yeah, must be throwing him off balance when he turns!
3. Yep
4. Yep

<ok>

I think he would start playing well again if he were back here. If he does, then buying back at half price would be a good deal.

An apology and a hat trick would be all it would take to make it all (or mostly) water under the bridge.

If it's a choice between him and a decent defender, though, I'll take the defender

Not for me, the scars are too deep from when he left. One of the most painful departures ever in my time supporting the club. He was the second coming and he pissed all over us.

Bring in Erding and see what he can do

He's right and he's right?

They can't both be right.

You know, you are also right

Im waiting for the Liverppol 5m bid for Prior story

Liverpool's scouting system has perhaps unearthed another gem. Jason Prior, of non-league fame has come to the attention of Damien Comolli and Liverpool appear to be very excited about signing the late bloomer

"We've been keeping an eye on him for sometime now" Comolli admitted. "We've had scouts watching him very recently when he was involved in a reserve match against Wigan".

Asked if he's simply abusing Newcastles scouting system he refuted "That's absurd. It's just a freak occurence that our scouts have been in the same places as Carr (Newcastle's chief scout) and it's not as if we've hacked his email account, mobile phone and ransack his bins to know his whereabouts."

Asked for proof Comolli presented a stained piece of crumpled paper that smelt as if it may have been retrieved from a rubbish bin and showed it to me. "You can see it says quite clearly that Carr was going to be in the doctors surgery at 3pm Monday and as far as I know, we didn't have an employee anywhere near him."

Carr, who reported a break in on his return to his house at 4pm on Monday was unavailable for comment but Comolli kindly mentioned we could reach Carr on his mobile number and gave us the details.

"He's out the country at the moment. We could tell by the ring tone when we phoned him to check" he smiled.

I would take him back. He is still a good player. just not suited to liverpool style of football.

all these stories flying about when he left, no one knows the real truth. Apart from the board and carroll

I wouldnt pay anymore than £10-15M, however I fear if we do buy him back for that sort of money, will a big player be sold to generate funds ? if so then no thanks

I'd take him back for £10-£15mil in a heartbeat.

I have my own views on what happened this time last year (forced out) but if he were to come back then come this time next year, we will all look back on his £35mil transfer and laugh, big time.

AC was class when he was here. He loved playing for us. It brought out the best in him. He could be one of those players that has to play for his side or nobody.

Get him in back in the team with the No.9 shirt, back to his best, with Demba Ba next to him, smashing up the Premier League. With a nice profit in the bank to boot.

He was forced out the way if a lass who was much prettier than my wife asked me for a shag, I'd be forced to accept. He went for the better deal.

So what ? I think he'd rip it up back here, and he would be the ideal foil for Ba, HBA, or both

My mate has just text me (he works in Tesco) he served David Craig from Sky Sports and he asked him if he has any news on players to Newcastle. He seems pretty certain that Andy Carroll is going to come back.

I've asked my mate what exactly he said. He had a paper and it said 'Carroll to Newcastle £10m' and mate asked him if he thinks it will happen and David Craig said he has it on good authority that Newcastle are interested and Carroll is very interested, but a deal would be very hard to do as his wages are big and the fee would still be big. Never got any more info because his phone rang and he left :(
