7 points from 15 when most on here thought we'd be lucky to get 1 or 2 pts from the first 5 games. I'm quite content with the start we have made. Never thought we'd get anything from this game with them flying at the mo. I'd much rather watch this R's team than last season's. The table makes weird reading with Cardiff, Ipswich and Leeds up there and Norwich, Brentford, villa in the bottom half. Long way to go, hopeful of a signing or two before close of window, but the way things are going I'm pleased. Just reading on the Cardiff thread that they don't see us as relegation fodder that people have predicted this season.
Pretty disappointing result today, and one that really exposed our defensive frailties Shocking defending for both Cardiff goals, though their defending was equally bad for ours Both sides looked mid table outfits frankly but then Warnock managed to grind out results in our promotion season too
Missed the game today but read a short back pass from Ned caused their 1st goal. Read here it's all Caulker's fault??? Ollie saying Caulker was brilliant the first 30, but he's not fit yet but had to play him anyway. Sounds like we desparately need a new qualified CB in the next few days.
Holloway must've been watching a different game to me. Caulker looked weak and slow We have another CB - Baptiste - and what I've seen of him (Wednesday game) he's certainly no worse than Caulker
Baptiste has looked pretty poor to me. Caulker isn't fit, but if he could get back to anything like his best form, he is far better than Baptiste imo.
WLS "" Ian Holloway is hopeful he will be able to bring in new players ahead of Thursday’s deadline. QPR are looking to sign at least one defender as Grant Hall and Joel Lynch are both currently sidelined and James Perch faces a long spell out with a knee injury. Rangers boss Holloway wants an experienced striker, while the club are also set to sign Linfield’s Paul Smyth – West London Sport revealed this week that a deal had been agreed for the 19-year-old forward to move to Loftus Road. There might also be outgoings, with a number of players available at the right price and midfielder Sean Goss lined up for a loan move. Holloway believes his squad is already reasonably strong but he is looking to bring in reinforcements. He said: “I don’t think we’re that far off of having a group that will start to look around and feel ‘we’re alright here’. “Hopefully I can get some business done in the next few days to try and strengthen things.” Holloway was speaking after his team’s 2-1 defeat at Cardiff. I can. Played like a complete mug for us for four years but still got a far better deal from the fans than most players because of one **** cross at Wembley.
He was decent today. Not brilliant and obviously a bit lucky for his goal but far better than 95% of his games for us.
TBF our defence would've made most wide players look decent today Really missing that goal poacher upfront at the moment. Could've grabbed a late - and probably undeserved - equaliser if Yeni had actually hit the ball instead of daydreaming
I doubt it'll make the highlights but I'd love to see it again. I genuinely can't understand how he didn't score or even shoot.
It's on the Sky Highlights. He didn't really have a chance. Our keeper does well. He doesn't get the chance to shoot. At the ground I was waiting for it to go in.
