Cardiff fans are planning the biggest protest in their history today. A spokesman said "we were threatened into believing it was red or dead. Now every day people are coming up to me and saying why did we let it happen. We owe it to fans of the past and the future to get our blue heritage back" I was surprised when I saw all the red shirts in the Cardiff end when they came to the KC, seems now they realise they should not have given in to threats, bullying and blackmail. Just vote NO.

Cardiff have a core of die-hards who will fight to get their proper identity back, same as us. They also have some numpties who will believe anything/need to be different so argue for the sake of it that it's somehow a good idea, same as us. It's these cheap ones that are noticed by neutrals nationally and people pour scorn on Cardiff because of them.
Here at City, if Allam gets the result he's after with his poll, then we'll be seen in the exact same way. The club whose owners threaten them, lie, blackmail, cheat and do everything they can to get their own way on something which isn't even about the club but just about their own egos and yet the fans voted in support of them and their proposal.
Let's make sure that doesn't happen shall we? If he wants to **** off because we vote no then let him. That's his choice. We're not telling him to, the vote says 'No To Hull Tigers' and nothing more. Personally I hope he does **** off. I can't stand the man, he's a bully, a cheat, has no idea what he's doing, he's a tyrant and a ****. For some reason a lot of people seem desperate not to upset the vile bastard, if that's you and you're worried he'll leave if you vote no then ask yourself: if he's likely to walk way because we don't support his decision, is he really a man we want in complete control of our club? And do you really think this'll be the end of it if we say yes? What about when we win the cup and he won't let us have a celebration in the City centre? What about next year when we have to go through the whole saga all over again because he goes back to the FA with his dodgy poll result?

Joking aside, if I were one of their fans I'd of only considered buying a blue away shirt from now on.
It's been an interesting season between us and Cardiff, there was always going to be comparisons between us from being part of the promoted pack but with the off field issues it's made it even more so.
Despite our troubles, it has been slightly comforting at times to remember that we're not as bad off as them. So far - and touch wood - it has not affected our on-field fortunes too drastically; although it would be interesting to try and figure out our results in the fixtures immediately after one of his signature interviews. It also looks increasingly likely that the name change is going to go through, we haven't had to put up with being Hull Tigers, or playing on the chairmans lucky colours.
I hope we can get the NO and I really don't care what AA does after. My biggest worry with him going is that SB might not stick around.
And if our protests inspires Cardiff's fans to stand up and get their home shirts back, even better.
I don't think its increasingly likely we'll be Hull Tigers next season. Having a ballot which says back me or I'm off isn't likely to convince the FA that the majority of fans support the idea. Just the opposite, especially when it isn't independent of the club. Just my personal feeling.
It does. It says that those who were prepared to accept red when they were winning turn against the owner when they're losing. A lesson to be learnt I think.

This is the bit I don't understand with the Cardiff issue, maybe one of them can explain. They have a blue away shirt, so surely the best way to show opposition to the change for them would be to have the stadium filled with it and hardly anybody wearing the red one? We've got a similar situation with our current sponsors, if our away kit had a different sponsor to the home kit (or was even sponsorless) I'd expect to see less home kits and more away kits in the ground than we do. It's a change that doesn't harm the club but shows opposition to that decision.
I don't know if it helps your discussions at all, but at the start the issue really was red or dead. we are still alive because of the change to red and the on-going support of Tan. We were never ever given a vote on this issue or anything else.....and why would we? Your dictator seems to be giving you a vote.......and good for him assuming he will then abide by the results.

He can't actually abide by the decision as such, because it's too late to form part of the name change application.
The nature of the 'poll' also means it will have little or no credibility. The choices are, 'agree with me or I leave' and you have to put your name, address and pass number on the form, that the club are (effectively) counting. This at a time when we're all waiting to see if we've been successful with our applications for Wembley tickets.
