So those of you claiming Cardiff are selling their soul and history, when does our history actually start then or in fact, finish? The first change away from the white shirt? FIrst change back? The Blue ones? The last black n amber one after the last other colours?

I need to see if I can squeeze into my 1994-1995 shirt still, I knew buying an XL would be a bad idea in the future :(

You're still spending boss... If your owner pulled out now you'd be more ****ed than your were before. Your current owner won't be there forever... then what? Should be consolidating while you can, not pushing for the premier league by spending megabucks. You'll spend more than ever there and could well end up doing what we did.

It's all his money though. You can't be more ****ed than bankrupt. VT's money saved the club from admin and because of what he's spent he'd lose loads more than anyone if he pulled out. This years spending would be throwing good money after bad if he ****s off. Only business plan he can have is get and keep PL status and increase the value of the club and with it his majority holding.

FC is already becoming a legend. Imagine what he'll be like when he's match fit!

It's not necessarily the change of shirt colour, they're changing the whole image and brand. Colour, badge, and now possibly the name.

Bit more extreme, but say for example, some Saudi's bought us out and promised to pump in millions so long as they could change our colour to fluorescent pink, have the playboy bunny as the badge and call us the 'Arabian Fluffy Bunnys' just to please Saudi's and the middle east in general because they always wished there was a team called the bunnies that play in pink and they consider bunnies and the colour pink to be lucky, you're telling me you'd still support that, just because it was once our club and happens to play in our city?

I would apply to be manager of the new team the fans would create.. or midfielder!

1,000 or so soppy Wombles still watched the old Wimbledon when they first moved to Milton Keynes... There'll always be some who just won't say, 'enough is enough'

Ah well lets go back to leather balls and boots and play on the old pitches...people have blurred memories about the past and use that as any excuse to moan about the future.

Today in the modern game clubs get foreign players and are happy where is the tradition in that?

How many players are actually born and bred in your cities?

Fans today want to see the best players and the highest standard of football and only those clubs who can attract wealthy investors will succeed, those clubs without such investment are doomed.

I can see a time when there are only two leagues for the rich and two leagues for the poor.

Now do you want to be a rich club or a poor club.

jck

Are you asking if we would rather be plastic prawn sarnie ****ers or football supporters? Which one are you?

Can you imagine our team without Black & Amber? Scary thought, but if you own the club, have invested millions I guess you call the shots.

Or maybe not, the Wales Online poll currently has 70% of fans claiming they wouldn't attend another match if the name is changed.
didnt a large percentage say the same when they found out about the colour change of the shirts ? Pretty certain most will be turning up. The owner said back then that he would pull out of the club. He will only use the same threat again.

Black and amber stripes look ugly?

It was certainly our first kit in the Football League.

Please tell me your post was a joke.

eh? i wasnt even disputing what was initially used in the first league game , we had a season outside league football in White and changed it a few times afterward as your link shows.
im just saying back n amber looks ugly bom bom ! - theres no punchline ;)

No disrespect, but that attitude from one of our supporters saddens me. Do you really think that for the sake of money it's right that a future owner could strip Hull City of it's oldest traditions, it's colours, it's badge, it's name and everything we recognise as our club rather than a pale imitation of someone elses.

I think allowing that would be the highest act of treason against all of our past supporters and it would be nice to think that the impressive effort currently being exerted to support the rights of our fans at Huddersfield was dwarfed to microscopic proportions by the fight we would put up to protect the identity of HCAFC.
Rant over.

Sorry, what's your take on Allam?

Absolute bellend.

No idea how you found this thread but **** me that's a beauty, if this doesn't help at least one of the name change tossers to see how they've sold out for a bit of success, I don't know what will.

It's more than a beauty but sadly it only shows one cretin up for the sell out moraless whore he is.

Got to hand it to happy at least he's consistent and hasn't formed his opinion on the basis of premier league football being bought (loaned?) for him.

Not really. He didn't want to believe it when OLM first told us of Allam's plan. Only when Allam admitted it did he take up the stance that it was a wonderful idea.
