I'm not averse to humour and some of it is...ermm,cringeworthy at best.

So much so that if he's instructed a brief to come up with some of this mumbo jumbo, the bill,if it were mine, would remain outstanding..

Like I say ,I like humour and I too have spent most of the morning pissing myself laughing that the same old familiar posters who put sweet **** all into the Club are the ones who have most to say about the running of it!!
Now there's an old one, "Mumbo Jumbo". Is it the same as 'Bollocks'?

They're laughing at a man coming up with embarrassing reasons why he shouldn't be punished for something instead of fronting upand taking it on the chin in a dignified manner. It's classic comedy sketch fodder. Maybe not the height of high brow, wry wit, but a 50 year old business man whining his dad might make him bike to work is always going to be funny.
The fella I know who got off doing 120mph on the M62 said in his defence that he was busting to go to the toilet. No mention of this when the police pulled him over and the Judge never questioned it. I do think fame and your wealth are a hinderance in cases like this. Personally I'd have bit the bullet first time and got a mate to drive me about for 6 months, the HDM wouldn't have got the story and he'd have saved the cost of the appeal towards his mates wages.
I'm afraid he's been badly advised again.

Henri Paul is looking for a driving job.

To be precise (according to HDM, if not a contradiction in terms)
"But the football boss claimed that he could not afford to pay a driver on his salary and feared that his father might "potentially" veto the idea of the cash-strapped club stumping up for it - and make him use a bicycle instead."

You would think one of the 500 people he employs might relish a change of career for a month or two, can't believe they are all working at their maximum capacity right now.

I shall be appealing at that lenient sentence handed out <laugh>

There is a raft of accommodation near the MKM stadium suitable for someone who wishes to walk to work there.

Flat above John Ford Menswear or Tam Tam's would suit.

Depressing we have so many bitter fans whose lives appear to be so blighted by the CEO of our club.

Been proven that people who nurse negative and hateful emotions over a long period of time are more prone to developing malign tumours.

Think on.

It's called a plea in mitigation,if you think his is side splitting, some of mine back in the day would have tickled you pink:emoticon-0148-yes:

For what it's worth,he's broke the Law and has been punished, rightly so,absolutely .I'm just at a bit of a loss as to why 'grown men'(allegedly) are pissing themselves laughing at a HDM article and proclaiming that it's made their weekend....Hull must be a ****ing sad place these days!!.
Aw come on
It's hilarious
We all know its plea mitigation, but it's even more hilarious he believed a solicitor that said it might have worked!
It is hilarious

"I'm travelling to see my ponies at my polo club, in my Bentley, and am the CEO of a Championship Football Club and the son of one of the richest men around Hull...but I can't afford a driver for 6 months and also I think if I did need a driver then my work should pay...surely everyone's work would pay for a driver if anyone lost their licence wouldn't they? and anyway my Daddy might not want to pay and he might make me go to work on a bicycle..."

FUNNIEST THING FOR AGES

Don’t be silly
It’s the same ruse every ****er uses or would use in the circumstances
No you wouldn't
If you were in the public eye like he is, had the cash that he has, and were as hated by as many people as he is then you would simply keep as quiet as you could, take the ban, hire a driver and quietly get on with it.
And if it did get in the papers issue a quote saying 'It was a genuine mistake but I realise that speeding is dangerous to other road users and pedestrians and it was right that I was banned. I'll certainly learn from this and won't ever do it again'

Exactly this
And everyone knows that fame would be a honderance so if you are in the public eye, especially as controversial as he is, you'd be extra careful and if you got it wrong you'd kick yourself but try and keep it as quiet as possible if you could

If he’d been speeding a bit later on, I’m sure the person with the speed gun would have got their “quota” of speeders & would have ****ed off, not giving a toss about people speeding later.
Oh well, perhaps don’t speed should be the message Ehab.
Also, what’s with the HDM’s constant use of “quotation marks,” very leading when reading.
