I see this as our most difficult game so far this Season. I have a work colleague who supports Cambridge and he tells me they are playing well with two good forwards capable of break-away football.

Yeah, I meant next weekend’s fixtures when we play at Hillsborough.
Sure enough anyway, Cambridge is off.
I’m not a royalist, yet I can appreciate it’s an emotional time for some (maybe most) of the population.
However, I do feel the decision to postpone matches this weekend is the wrong one. Would it not make more sense to do a minute’s silence, black armbands, and give fans the chance to sing the National Anthem before the match instead of just cancelling them all? We’re still expected to work throughout this mourning period, so surely you’d want to keep sport on? Plus, she was a big fan of sport herself. Not to mention, this schedule is already tight for the Premier League teams with the World Cup commencing in November/December.

I agree - ridiculous decision. The FA moan that the schedule is tight enough as it is, then they cancel a full programme. I'm sure all the wives n girlfriends will be chuffed to bits now 
I don’t think it helps our cause - I hope it doesn’t stifle our momentum.
At the same time, I understand that a football match is essentially a big party with thousands of people coming together, lots of noise, goal celebrations and if the nation is in mourning then a big party is not in keeping with how Britain does mourning. People dress in black. They are solemn.

Surely if people want to mourn, then stay at home watching the constant repetitive news.
As for the players, we have to work through this "mourning", so they should too
I’m not a royalist by any means. But it’s national mourning meaning everybody in the country collectively.
It depends what your job is. It doesn’t affect what I do but if I worked in events or hospitality or the civil service I’d expect some changes and cancellations until after the funeral.
I am a proud royalist but I also disagree with this decision. This weekends matches, across the board, would have been the perfect place for thousands of people to shout and sing the praises of a great monarch and bring us all that little bit closer together as a nation during these horrible times of austerity and suffering. I'm sure Her Majesty would have loved it!!!
I think it's the wrong decision, should be celebrating her life, it's not as if it's someone that has not had a good long life, she was 96 years old for Christ sake, her life should be celebrated and what better way than football fans around the country singing 'god save the queen' together.
I don’t disagree with the comments here - I don’t think having a miserable sombre 10 days is a great way to remember anybody, just putting forward the rationale for doing it. Establishments will all be going to great lengths to not risk appearing disrespectful. Only a few months ago Prince William was getting booed by the Liverpool fans at Wembley too. There’s a lot of social unrest and anger. But I think it will mainly be the ‘not celebrating and having a good time’ thing.

I agree with most of the comments here. Rather than everyone staying at home tomorrow, we could have gone to the game. Something simple like singing the national anthem before kick off, followed by 96 seconds of silence / applause would have worked well at all grounds round the country. On of the things that football does is bring everyone together and I think there’s been a missed opportunity here
Well isn’t it odd that footie is off but other sports including England cricket is on. Did the governing bodies not talk to each other? Bit of a farce that.
Seems like a bit of a panicked decision, but then again they're damned if they do, damned if they don't.
Personally I'd have preferred the game to go ahead with the appropriate acknowledgement of the circumstances.
