This de Jong lad has good stats in the Dutch leagues but he is no Cabaye replacement. Also, we all know how those Dutch stats can be misleading, don't we?

de Jong is a very good striker mate, he's a target man with reasonable feet, in effect & a very tidy finisher.

I'm confused as to how they will use him with Remy though, I guess it means Remy will be pushed to the wing, a typically astute move by the ever idiotic Pardew to take their top scorer out of the front line.

There's just no logic in de Jong being anything other than a centre forward, as he is quite a lanky lad, and lacks pace.

I won't pretend I'm not bothered, I'd rather have him than not but he does deserve to play for a bigger club so no hard feelings and I wish him luck.

Bardsley and indeed other Sunderland players probably aren't getting their heads turned by the likes of Arsenal, Manchester united or PSG and therefore pushing to move because, frankly, they're not good enough.

Indeed, but a few results prove nothing. Newcastle have beat some big teams this season, it doesn't make us better than them.

Obviously I'm unaware of the big money offers from Madrid that Bardsley et al are turning down in favour of committing to Sunderland.
Of course Cabaye is going to want to play for a big club given that he's good enough to do so. Hopefully the money is put to good use and we get a few suitable replacements for him.

Cabaye is a ****. Unforgiveable to rule yourself out of a game for the club YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT with just cos you fancy going somewhere else. He's been sensational for us this season but no amount of good performances can make up for his behaviour. I will personally laugh if he breaks a leg on his PSG debut <ok>

I'm not reading all this **** but can anyone tell me if any of them have claimed it's to the benefit of the club . . . there's always one every time they lose someone.
