There was supposed to be an interview with the agent on Solent this morning...does anyone know what was said?

The agent tried to change the installment plan for the deal which pissed Cortese off, the agent eventually backed down. Something about waking up next to a horse's head?

Does anybody think we're taking this a bit too seriously? Personally I don't really care if the deal falls through, it's not as if it's Messi. If we don't sign Buttner then i'm sure we can find somebody else just as good.

But we've obviously spent a lot of time and effort trying to get him, meanwhile alternatives may have gone elsewhere or don't like to be signed as a back up choice.

My guess is that this deal is NOT going to get done. For no other reason than Cortese will not be pleased about the way it has been so publicly conducted. He'll pull the plug and move on to the next one.

Seems this deal is still not dead...

Vitesse plays Thursday without Ismail Aissati and Alexander Büttner against Lokomotiv Plovdiv . Aissati has not yet signed and Büttner seems to feed upon a transfer.

Vitesse flies Wednesday to Bulgaria for the Europa League match against Lokomotiv Plovdiv . Aissati initially appeared to play along, but the new contract has not been signed.
"It takes a little longer than expected, but we are still talking," said a spokeswoman for Vitesse against ANP . "If it is still pending, it would be no point to take him.
Aissati therefore remains as Büttner behind in Netherlands . The left still hopes his transfer to Premier League club Southampton to complete.

Pending his transfer to Southampton, Alexander Buttner maintains his physical fitness to the promise of Vitesse. The left Doetinchem few days ago took leave of Vitesse, but his transition to the club from the premier league is still not deep. Buttner began his career in the youth of VV Doetinchem. At age 11 he moved to Ajax, but five years later he chose for the youth of Vitesse. Buttner debuted on March 15, 2008 in a match which he also two yellow and therefore a red card was ejected . A total of Doetinchem defender played 107 games for Vitesse. He scored ten goals.

I personally think it is dead, and it's just the media trying to hype everything up since his transfer to Southampton is the only lead they have <ok>

You never knowI tend not to get excited about transfer, it's best to just forget everything until you see the player in a Saints shirt.

Then why hasn't he gone to Bulgaria with Vitesse?

Because they know he is going, regardless of who to?

Why haven't Forte, barnard etc gone to France with saints? Because we know they will be moving on and I suspect it's probably the same situation with Buttner
