I hope we get him. We have obviously done our homework on the guy, so he's rated alright. cortese's decision I guess.
The agent tried to change the installment plan for the deal which pissed Cortese off, the agent eventually backed down. Something about waking up next to a horse's head?
But we've obviously spent a lot of time and effort trying to get him, meanwhile alternatives may have gone elsewhere or don't like to be signed as a back up choice.
My guess is that this deal is NOT going to get done. For no other reason than Cortese will not be pleased about the way it has been so publicly conducted. He'll pull the plug and move on to the next one.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18794285 I assume we've all seen this by now? Agents interview and other snippets...
Seems this deal is still not dead... - http://www.elfvoetbal.nl/nieuws/200...d: elfvoetbal-oranje (ElfVoetbal.nl - Oranje) - http://optimaalfm.nl/index.php/id_pagina/26070/buttner-nog-niet-naar-southampton.html
I personally think it is dead, and it's just the media trying to hype everything up since his transfer to Southampton is the only lead they have
You never knowI tend not to get excited about transfer, it's best to just forget everything until you see the player in a Saints shirt.
Because they know he is going, regardless of who to? Why haven't Forte, barnard etc gone to France with saints? Because we know they will be moving on and I suspect it's probably the same situation with Buttner
Buttner has been pretty open about wanting to move on to bigger things. Vitesse are obviously anticipating him leaving. No news on a deal with Saints.
Buttner not listed in Vitesse's first team, so as far as they are concerned he is history. Seems to have painted himself into a corner.
