Being successful seems to just be an reason for some people to instantly dislike you....

I just think well done to them. I didn’t have the drive or ambition basically being a lazy bugger but unlike members of the SWP and other lefties don’t feel envious of the ones who do well.

If it wasn’t for the taxes of those in the private sector there wouldn’t be any money to support the public sector.
If it wasn’t for the public sector there wouldn’t be a successful private sector either.

Why do you want to make it a competition? Both sectors are important
Both sectors have good people and bad people
Both sectors have successes and failures

You think so? Countries with unsuccessful private sectors don’t fare very well. Countries where everyone is a state employee fare even worse.

Could be like Cuba were the street sweepers get the same as teachers.

You picked the worst example to take a dig at considering the percentage of kids in school aged 6-12 in Cuba went from 56% under Batista to 100% by the 1980s.

Not something I’m familiar with

You need to swallow the corporate media spunk of Newscorp, Rothermere, the Telegraph, GB news and the wonky eyed right of the tory party to even think it was a thing.

Like someone goes out to prinny quay or whatever and experiences 'socialist envy' to someone with bigger bags than you.

It's a media construct.

He has bachelors degrees in economic and physics so is hardly a thicko. If the people who work for him wee more talented they would be founding their own businesses. Could they succeed in the cut throat, go getting world of the public sector though where people who found the private sector too much bailed out to?

Plenty of very clever people only ever work for others, and some thickos start and grow very successful businesses.
