Burnsy's done one...

Not related to this but I went to see her last night at Union Mash Up.
Very good night.

 

Wouldn't she have been better going ahead with her interview and making her views heard loud & clear on BBC Look North? Strikes me as not wanting to upset them?

 

Well, I for one have signed the petition. In my opinion, an outrageous decision to get rid of Burnsy and his show, he made such a difference to people, particularly to the older and vulnerable generations, providing company, a community service, a link to the outside world. My late beloved Mum, had no technology/internet, his daily shows were like a lifeline to her, and many like her. Think I've mentioned before, her guilty pleasure was company with Burnsy/Swanny, Sat afternoon by her radio, listening to City coverage. She’d then ring me Sat eve to compare her listening experience of the game to that of ours at the match........until that was cruelly taken away from her.

 

Did you pop downstairs for your beer. They do some great stuff in there.

 

I bet there's a few Burnsey's going up and down the country in local radio circles. LBF someone's got to pay for Lineker's £1.6m annual salary and Shearer doesn't come cheap. I reckon Wrighty is on a nice little earner, as well.

 

And what about that national treasure, Alex Scott?

 

I wonder how many Burnsys around the country could be employed for what Zoe Ball gets for decreasing the audience?

 

We were going to because we arrived much earlier than the doors were supposed to open, but they actually let us in when we arrived so we stayed so we could nab the front seats.
Been there plenty though as the owners are friends of my daughter.

I’m fairly confident that he will be reinstated once Alan Shearer and Ian Wright withdraw from MOTD in protest. And if Burnsey struggles with his mortgage Gary Lineker will surely put him up.

 

Rinsing geezer is Burnsy. Bumped into him several times over the years all around the country and he’s always jovial and happy for a natter. Can’t say I ever listen to his show or any radio at all other than city commentary but I’m gutted for him and I’m sure his listeners will be gutted to see him go.

 

She's a looker, well worth the money. Turn down the sound if you don't like the voice.

No one should really care what the commentator has to say anyway, it's just background noise to increase the atmosphere during lulls in the game and the summarisers are just to fill in the gaps between the highlights to extend the programme length.

 

She's very popular with my wife!!

Every time she appears on the box I go looking for household chores.I've even been known to wash the Windows in the pissing rain at noon on a Saturday

 

Maybe you like watching a game in total silence with no crowd noise but I don’t. If only they could make it standard where you could have just the game and no commentary. I don’t need someone to tell me a ball has gone out for a corner and who has passed the ball to someone else.
