Moved beyond words by this unexpected news, but echo all the wonderful tributes paid on this forum, which which will miss him so very much. R.I.P. Burley
Hi Lads..
It is with sadness that I tell you that Burley Hurley passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by his loving family after his battle against cancer. Mrs Burley would also like me to pass on a huge thank you for the support and flowers she has received. I personally am going to miss this man so much, getting to know him was like finding a long lost brother.
Mrs Burley has his login details for here so if you want to send a private PM then do so, it will be appreciated. I am still taking all of this in so on behalf of Burley Hurley I will say a big thanks for many years of banter with a set of great lads.
Stay safe all and thanks..
RIP you wonderful man..
I’m trying to find solace hearing that he passed away peacefully, it is the least the man deserved for being such a kind and caring man. He’s gone too soon, but he has left a big impression on all of us, a man who never shyed away from speaking his mind but always in a controlled and respectable manner. I didn’t have to meet him to realise just how much he meant to some of you and to his family and friends, although I wish I had met him.
I’m not good with grief and saying the right things, to console people but Mrs Burley if and when you do get round to reading these posts, I am truly thankful to you for allowing him to spend endless nights talking rubbish with us on here. I hope you and your family find the strength to get through this difficult time.
May your loving husband, and our friend Rest In Peace. My condolences to all of his family and friends, a wonderful person has left us and none of us will ever forget Blunham Mackem.
Thank you for letting us know Joe X
