Is VT just intransigent or can't make his mind up? Better ask Ugbo to move along the bench to make room.

If VT is simply being vindictive that is a very strange course of inaction for someone who has so much money tied up. Its not as though there is a sealed bid contest for potential buyers where he can sit back and wait for the envelope opening day.

I think he only reaches a state of intransigence when he can be arsed to think about the club at all. We're getting less and less like a professional football club.

I think he had issues with the Hull board regarding being backed so I doubt he and Vince would get on too well.

This is so true. The way our club is being run at the moment is an absolute joke. I mean, who in their right mind would want to come here, with the exception of the mercenaries looking for a quick or last pay day?

If only the board would even drip feed us some updates, but no, they are too inept to even think of that.

This is the worst close season I can remember for information about the manager, transfers, pre season friendlies and everything else a football supporter should be aware of and I’ve been a loyal supporter for 45 years. And of course this doesn’t bode well for our chances to develop a stronger team who can kick on next season and hopefully reach the playoffs at least. I mean, that’s what we all want, isn’t it? However all I can forecast is the same old, same old at present and for me that’s not good enough. We are a big city club, with the facilities and potential to mix it with best of teams but we all hamstrung by indecisiveness from the top down.

I could not agree more.

For what it's worth, apparently there've been multiple verbal enquiries about the currently vacant City manager position, at least 2 of whom are said to be very viable.

This has not come from the club itself nor the fan's "leader". It was reported as an aside from a well respected agent (are there any?) who suggested that Dalman was batting them away.

If there is a link and I can find it, I'll paste it up but it was before the weekend and I can't for the life of me find the bugger now.

It would be interesting to know the type of 'candidate' we are attracting.
Not from the point of view as to who our next manager might be, but as an indication as to how we are perceived 'in the industry'.
Are they manager's who will take any old job for a wage, a young manager wanting a championship club, or are there any respected managers out there who think we are a viable club with an upwardly mobile future?

Last I heard on the gossip rumour mill (in my case the golf club bar) was Bulut has been offered a one year extension, and it’s a take it or leave it situation.

Nothing wrong with that as a negotiating tactic.
Just hope they've set a deadline and are thinking about plan 'B'.
The issue is, the deadline should have passed by now so we could be on with plan 'B'.
Time is ticking.

If the rumours are true, let's hope he gets some backing. Otherwise, he'll have to focus on survival again.
I honestly believe that there is a first class manager in Bulut and he's already demonstrated that he can get results with a below average squad. Now let's find out what he can do with some new faces.

It’s now sinking in.

Bulut has surely got to realise the ultra defensive, ponderous build up play and lack of decisive attacking football with little end product cannot be repeated this coming season.

Last minute winners and hanging on to narrow leads were aplenty last season. It’s still a mystery how we got so many points. We won’t be that lucky again.

He can rip up last seasons blueprint and start again with a blank sheet of paper.

I'm convinced he played like that because of what he available which lets face it, was relegation fodder for the biggest part of the season. If he doesn't get backed, I think we're in for more of the same in order to keep our Championship status. Let's hope he gets backed and then we can have a more informed idea about him.

I still point to the early parts of the season when we were playing counter attacking football at pace and on occasions trying to win the ball back higher up the pitch.

I'm kind of with Clingo that injuries, loss of form and ever changing confidence all played a part in our Jekyll and Hyde season.

I've seen it said that teams " sussed us out" but in my opinion that's lazy thinking - football is never that simple (unless you listen to some slightly unhinged posters).
