You could hardly blame Bruce if he walked, he's had three years of ****e working for a pair of nutters. I appreciate that he's been backed heavily in the transfer market in the past and it could be claimed that he owes the club, but he doesn't need the money and if he's not enjoying it, you can see why he'd decide he's had enough.

I'm sure Steve Bruce wouldnt be on the verge of quitting if the only problem was his transfer budget. You've conveniently just ignored everything else that has gone on for 3 years.

Why mention transfer budgets then?

From a footballing perspective he has it much better than a lot of managers with hands off owners that have backed him, however there's a sideshow that goes with it, if he can't handle that then its understandable but he needs to honest, quit and let someone else come in. It doesn't benefit anyone if he drags it out.

I agree but he needs to make his decision soon before it damages our season.

Brucie may or may not be on the point of walking, but the OP implies he has some "inside Knowledge" of what is going on. He doesn't. He made this up just to cause trouble.

How many managers in the pl have walked of their own accord in the last ten years? Discounting those who have walked to take another job? Other than SAF I can't think of many, for a manager of any pl club to be looking to walk when yhere is no job lined up for me speaks volumes about the **** that manager must be dealing with

I dont know how I can make it any clearer than i did in my last post, but if you insist - because it's another thing on top of everything else that has gone on.

O'Neill. Pulis at Palace?

And as I've said he still has it better than some managers, he needs either quit or commit to the team, right now he's helping no one.

Its not a question of getting to spend whatever you want, Bruce knows his budget and has no doubt handed over a wishlist of who he thinks we need within budget. The problem comes with lack of activity in getting the players in

examples
Powell - Bruce was obviously a fan, see his interview in Portugal, yet two champion ship clubs could agree terms with him before we could
Hayden - again Bruce was a fan, see interviews last season about him been a future player to build a team round, again signs for a champion ship club
Sane - Apparently we know his release clause, yet two weeks later we are no nearer getting him
Kanu-robson - all quiet on that front
Gunter - we know his cheap release clause, any movement, no
Westwood - same as Gunter

all positions we need to fill yest jothing happening, yet other clubs abke to negotiate and sign amplayer in a few days.

Bruce is a winner, he wanted reassurance that the club were goig to aloow him to build a competitive side, they gage him them reassurances but have not come through

it is all the the Allams if Bruce and players leave, and who could blame them

Go on then - which manager has put up with what he has in the past 3 years? The only rival I can think of is at TWS where he might have tried to influence picking the team.

Why? Walk, take some time off, re-energise, and wait for the job that he wants, whether it's a struggling PL team like Swansea (possibly), or a side in the Championship.
Professional pride. He got us up and I think he'll stay rather than simply walk. I wouldn't be surprised to see him accepting another job, but I simply can't see him going without another role lined up, not at the start of a PL season
I have no insider info, I'm just sharing my view
I've been wrong before ( I think it was a couple of years ago when I was convinced that I'd made a mistake...but it turned out I hadn't ;) )

If I were him I'd walk before I was pushed, and I don't think he'd want another relegation on his CV. It'd also hurt his win % with us, as meaningless as that is, it can mean a bit when going for the next job. If he walks, he doesn't have to be associated with our season.

We'll see
I hope he doesn't, so maybe that is affecting my thinking
