I would think the poll is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard! Originally there were only 2 options, neither were a NO option, so people may have voted regardless!
As Tickles says Hat is a WUM of the highest order, who only very occasionally puts something useful up!

If that is what 15,000 believe, then yes.

How do you know what 15,000 fans want? I'm one of the 15,000 that were there against Bolton and Reading and I don't want him here anymore, how can you be sure that the majority don't feel the same? People aren't going to openly slag the guy off, it's not that we don't like him as a person, he just clearly can't motivate these players and if he can't do that, what's the point in him being the manager?

So you think that by Steve Bruce going is going to make any difference then eh ? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Looking at who is available AND WOULD COME the situation would only get worse. imo.

If Swansea don't beat WBA on boxing day and still with no manager in site it could be a disaster for them.

Be careful what you wish for. This modern day attitude of getting rid of the manager has gone far too far.

I'd love for somebody (who can do it quicker than I can) to dig out the pages just after Nick was sacked, how many of them suggested Steve Bruce? Nobody saw that coming. Swansea are a Premier League club, they won't struggle to find a successor, but now that you've mentioned it, they're hardly dead and buried are they? Why have they sacked him? Because if they didn't, there was a strong chance they'd continue in the direction they were going in. Same boat we are in. Look at the performances since November. Not the results, but the player's body language, their attitudes and how badly we've been. Awful, isn't it? How is that acceptable from a football manager?

I'd rather take the gamble and bring a new manager in than risk falling away because the player's had lost faith. We're a club pushing for promotion to the Premier League with the foundations and infrastructure to be settled there, why do you lot worry that we will struggle to attract a decent replacement?

We wont get a better manager than Steve Bruce. However now you mention it IF we don't get at least 7 points from the festive/new year matches then I want Steve Bruce to name and shame those who are not putting it in and then get rid. Before it is too late and before the window closes again. Yes and then the loan window will open for us in Feb.

However, I am nowhere near blaming Steve Bruce,,, more the players. If they don't want to play for Bruce then they don't want to play for Hull City. So they can feck off for me.

Are you kidding me? How could you possibly say that? And what is it based on? We've never had a manager who's been as 'successful' as Brucey, but that's not to say we won't again. We said the same when Brown took us up and then he got sacked, at the time he was our most successful manager and look at what we've accomplished since.

At some point the manager has to take responsibility for his results; he can bawl and yell and comfort players all he wants but if they aren't going to play for him, then why should he stay? What's the best way to sort a team out? Sell everybody and start again, wasting millions of pounds and time and of course getting an entire squad to gel together, or simply remove the manager and replacing him with somebody who can get them playing as well as we know they can. We've all seen these lads at their best, if Bruce can't get them back there then he isn't the man for the job, is he?

So who do you suggest? Indeed who is available? How do you define a decent replacement? And how long are you going to him, before you want him out? If someone takes over now do you allow them 2-3 seasons?

Sacking Browny worked well in the short term and reversed our fortunes didn't it?

The easy option is always the manager. It really doesn't always work.

It would take huge balls to actually deal with the root cause which is the players.

Ticklers post above absolutely nails it for me.

Why would my suggestion matter? I'm not the one who has to replace Bruce, I'd be happy with anybody who can get the players in our squad playing to their best. Managers don't get a safe period of 2-3 seasons to be judged on, they get judged on performances and results. We've had two **** wins against two **** sides and defeats to ****ter ones. I'm not expecting Bayern style domination from this team, but I'd like...no, I'd expect better than what we are seeing at present and given the quality at Bruce's disposal, player's he paid for, that's what we should be getting.

If we turn a corner and we start to pick up again then great, but if the games against Burnley and Preston are the same sort of tripe, he needs to get gone.

I believe if we lose both he'll be gone! If it is, I really hope he walks, rather than be pushed! However I still believe we can get results in those 2 games!

We are more than capable of getting a result from both of those games. I don't know if he'll actually get the boot after New Year but it'll certainly set the wheels in motion.

Allam won't sack Bruce IMO so if SB goes he'd have to resign. None of the names I have seen suggested as possible replacements guarantee success:

Gary Monk - Did great at Swansea, but is he a one club wonder?
Tim Sherwood - Unlucky to get the boot at Spurs - poor at Villa - Untried at Championship level
Nigel (Mr Positive - get your excuses in even earlier than SB) Adkins - Doesn't fill me with confidence - I think he's a bit of a bullshitter
Square Head - no chance of him returning under Allams

    Any more?
