Bruce IN or OUT?

the thing is everyone and the media has been comparing this seasons points tally with last and simply ignoring the fact we finished last season the 7th best from jan to may, so I think they've been too fast to say he's done a great job.. imo without almiron and max we will lose every single game.. it's a side that can only play on the counter, so once you take those two out the side we have to go long ball and we aren't even good at that.
Or...
It's i before e unless the sound is e or it's a wet Wednesday in January!
I know you know pretty much everything is better with Brucie. The narrative keeps changing, but it is impossible to deny that things are much rosier, and we are mostly enjoying matchdays again. I'm disappointed that the injury glut has prevented more attacking enterprise, but if and when Ritchie gets fit, or we get a new right winger in January, then we will be even more, more entertained :)
18. Newcastle United: 22, -15, 18 this was mid January this year. It is a joy to be nowhere near that and not hearing/reading players, owners, referees, uncle Tom Cobbley, et al, getting the blame.
And then...we also have our history breaking cup run to look forward to :)

Love the avvy mate

I said it then and ill say it again

Those comparing results vs rafa have set themselves up bigtime because after xmas under rafa nufc were the 7th best side points wise , so lets just see if they still use this comparison crap over the next month or two

The fans still obsessing hatefully over Rafa will be too busy licking Brucie's hoop to notice we're going down next year.

Would have preferred the roller-coaster of Arteta, Vieira or Bronkhorst over this. The future is bleak under Bruce, just hope he doesn't get a say in transfers.

We might still go down this year mate.. theres always a side that falls dramatically and looking at our fixtures , our injuries and our managers record im convinced we will be that team... we might scrape over the line a bit like brighton last season

I don't see us going down, there's enough of Rafa's defence and a few individual attacking performances left in the team to survive. A trained chimp could have kept us up this year. Next year with a few changes to personell and I'm worrying pal

I am concerned due to our injury situation .. its more than likley within the next week or three we will be 15th to 17th , only about 4 points off 18th with no confidence going into the games that will become must wins... if you look at the table , the fixtures over the next month i think anyone that does will draw the same sad conclusion

Aye but eventually Saint-maximin, Lascelles and Ritchie returns and totally changes the complexion of our team. We have enough to survive I think, with or without tactics. 11th prediction from me is looking hopeful now though.

Max out till feb and it takes time for players to get upto speed , but yes these players are crucial , but weve just lost schar for a month , joelinton for a few weeks and carroll could go at any moment..

Its a serious problem because bruce has managed the sqaud poorley ... rafa was very good at this aspect

Yeah you're right, the management of squad fitness is gash and we had been warned of this previously about Bruce running players in to the ground. ASM looked to be playing through injury his last 2/3 matches like, but it's also why he'll be thrown in as soon as he can be.

Got to say re:Carroll, he looks fair sorted on fitness. Makes me think he was putting 10% effort in to be fit for West Ham towards the end. Injury is still a constant possibility mind. Didn't know bout Schar, that's a worry. Don't know how long Clark is from playing either.
