watch us play every week and you would see beyond that. we are worse in every area of the game. stats aside if you watch it its obvious .

the next 3 games will be telling, but we really need bruce to change things because its an absolute mess..

This I think proves my earlier point we could not really do worse than we are right now changing style so why not get on with it and get 10-12 games practice in this season before Bruce turns it all around in the next window.

Scrap 5-4-1, go 4-5-1/4-3-3/4-4-2 hell go 5-3-2 or 5-2-1-2 if we need and ****ING attack but I can't watch a single minute more of that boring, dull, turgid, desperate, defensive, anti-football.

A perfect illustration of way football is played on a big green grass rectangle, and not via some stats in a book or on a website. The only stats that matter are the results and the table at the end of the season. We are 13th. That stat carries significantly more weight than any of those posted above. I'm sure there are other stats where Newcastle feature much higher up. For instance Newcastle have gained more points against the top 6 than any other side outside of the top 6 this season. Brucie is obviously more comfortable mixing it tactically with the very best...the stats say so, it must be true right?

see come may... we finished 10th and 13th last year and this year spent money.. our performances are as poor as ive seen since mclaren... i fear the current points tally is misleading.

time will tell...

As I've said, 2014/15 we had one point more than we currently have and nearly got relegated, playing considerably better football than we are today. The problem is that as this wears on, more and more teams will find it easy to work us out. We seem blinded by the fact we absolutely robbed Everton and Chelsea of points, picking up 4 that shouldn't have been. Imagine us, playing like this, and on 27 points? Not only would most be fearing relegation/calling for Bruce's head, but it would be likely. Well, it's a funny PL season and four points isn't a lot. Villa have had some bad luck recently, which just like our good fortune won't hold. We're then staring at a shoot out with them, Brighton, Bournemouth, West Ham and Watford. Palace is a six pointer and I know where the smart money is.

People keep mentioning SM but the football under SB is by far the worst by a mile

pleased you can see the issues... some people are totally fooling themselves with the points tally and they have an argument, but do they really think we will keep pulling off the miracles we have been ? not imo and id like to see Bruce address the problem. the next 3 games could see us flying , but only if we start doing something i havent yet seen... i just cant see what the plan is right now.

<doh>

The plan is “pray for miracles” obviously.

Getting the excuses in early in case Bruce outperforms Rafa as he has so far.

A defensible position, I suppose. When you look at their respective achievements outside NUFC, though, I think the consensus is that RB's results were the skilful management of substandard resources while SB's have been influenced by a large slice of good luck.

hes not using the same players or the players in the same positions... bruce is the master of media manipulation.. he has changed everything for the worse.

he also ran his side into the ground and has blamed injuries for everything since.

tbh who out of those injuries was he giving minutes to? he keeps banging on about it , but he never bloody used his squad in the 1st place and there is the problem.

i said he would do this at the time because ive figured him out... everything he says and does is aimed at his survival 1st and foremost.

he will ruin us beyond belief by the time hes finished here...

I’d love someone to try and convince me that Bruce is the man for the job. He’s been diabolical all season! Rafa wasn’t amazing but he was a damn sight better than this!
