It was always going to end this way. They simply can't work with other people they're that bad. There's no one they actually have a decent relationship with is there? Every CEO/MD or similar figure didn't last long and eventually they gave up on even trying to have one. The fact our club has been so rudderless in terms of an actual board of directors or a CEO figure for the last three years really should have alarmed people more.

All I know is that when Bruce finally retires, I'm flicking to the fat wedge in his Biography entitled "Them ****s" and reading about everything to do with his time dealing with the Allams.

I really hope when Bruce eventually leaves, he holds nothing back and just ****ing lays into these ****ing ****s.

Just **** off.

I don't give a **** if we finish 20th with zero ****ing points, I want ****ing rid of these odious pricks who are killing our club.

I've pretty much written off this season at this stage. Absolutely no expectation of anything.

I also did the same a few weeks back, regardless new owners or not.

The difference is with new owners there is the chance of a clean slate to build up again, instead of a dictatorship.

Yep. If new owners come in my only hope for the season is:

- HCAFC returns to the club
- Concessions re-introduced
- Some sort of communication with the fans - whether through HCST or otherwise - is set up

That is all I need for this season to be a success.

What sad times to be a city fan when we should be revelling at the prospect of having another shot. If they do stay (of which I think they will) I hope Bruce goes and leaves them in the lurch on the eve of the season. I will happily cut of my nose to spite my face when it comes to them clowns at this club.
What a strange post?

Those not caring if we finish bottom with no points will be the same fans booing the team off at half time. You can certainly 'not care' if we finish bottom, who evers in charge to say something like that is a farce. Expectation and reality are two different things. I for one will be supporting the team whoever is chairmen.

Difference between writing off the season and not caring. I will still hurt every time we lose, and it will upset me, but I'm setting my expectations as low as possible so as to minimise my disappointment.

What a strange post?

It's not that strange though is it?

It certainly SHOULD be the best time ever to be a City fan - the 3rd crack at the Premier League after the best part of a century in the doldrums.
It certainly is sad at the moment. The unsatisfactory way the club is being run and has for the last couple of seasons (long list of Allam related issues) is turning fans away in droves.
Pre-season (apart from players training) who doesn't get excited and look forward to the new season? Whose passion has been eroded by these two? Wembley and current season pass sales suggest many are hacked off with the goings on.
I actually hope Bruce stays, but would understand why he would walk, especially if the England job was offered. As it stands his stock must be very high given his efforts and result over 4 or 5 years at City. The clowns would get nothing more they deserve if he left which would leave us in the lurch and fail to attempt to capitalise on a golden opportunity for the club to set ourselves for years.
Many supporters are already cutting their noses off to spite their faces - again look at the Wembley photos, and details of season pass sales.

Reading between the lines Bruce is up for it this season, but is at the end of his tether with these two idiots in charge.

The fallout from this interview will be fascinating - if Bruce isn't sacked then we're being sold.

I do find the change in some posters attitude to this rather startling. When Nigel left for no other reason that he didn't want to report directly to the Allams after Adam went (money was NEVER an issue despite the regular 'greedy bastard' claims), he was vilified. Yet if Bruce walked now he'd be hailed a principled hero. What a difference a few years make.

Not necessarily, Allams might be happy to just leave him be.

It certainly concerned me and it still does, as it robs them of any real football industry perspective away from team matters.

Are you hearing what you want to here?
He sounds geared up and ready for the challenge. He wants to know if we're being sold. He's aware of his budget, he said on RH if it was double that it would still be hard. which it will.

To be fair, I do get what you mean, Chazz; my take is that he is retaining his professionalism, not for the current owner, nor for any prospective owner, but simply because Steve Bruce is a consummate professional - and I admire and respect that. I think he will also be very mindful of what happened to Nicky Barmby and will be ensuring that his departure - should it happen - will not have such a cloud over it, things will be made clear. Whether I like his brand of football has nothing to do with that, as he probably wouldn't like mine! <whistle>

The problem is that his professionalism cannot disguise (and he doesn't appear to try to ) his absolute frustration with the internal machinations of the club, with Ehab being a very focussed target of his disdain. This will only get worse before it gets better, as a sale will only see the bad feeling start to manifest itself thoroughly. What a bloody disgrace that the owners have brought their successful club into these ridiculously unnecessary straits.

It's the most outspoken I've seen Bruce ever, credit to the man calling Ehab out

SB now speaks like a man who knows he has the upper hand.

His football credentials are restored with another promotion (although he did add another relegation) and his support from the fans is unwavering.

He can speak out knowing if he's sacked he'll leave with head held high and if he isn't then his position is strengthened even more !

Your making yourself look abit silly

Really hoping that the ownership situation is sorted soon. Allams need to realise that their silence and them dragging out these negotiations is affecting the club from top to bottom, and not just their pockets.

Felt quite sorry for Bruce in his interview, could tell he really is genuinely hacked off but wanting to remain professional. Nice to see the lads haven't been too affected and are enjoying pre-season/ look up for it, hat off to Bruce and his team for keeping their focus on football.

Really gutted we are missing out on Nick Powell, I think given a run in the team he would be a really good signing. Hopefully Ehab pulls his finger out and get it over the line. Trying my best not to completely write off the season, as always will get behind the team and will be there first game of the season.
