Deutshe Post is publicly owned?

I thought it was. Seems it was privatised in 1995.

There was still no pressure from the EU to privatise Royal Mail, and while it's market was being opened up to competition throughout the late 90s until 2010, full privatisation was never once on the table before the Con Dem coalition came to power in 2010.

<rofl>

You said the EU forced the UK to privatise Royal Mail.

France didn't privatise La Poste.

Both are in the EU.

You are talking bollocks <ok>

No, I said the EU directives were responsible for the privatisation of Royal Mail. Give it time and the rest of the postal services in the EU will go the same way.

ps The Tories haven been 'raping' workers' rights for years and the EU has done **** all to stop them. In fact, wasn't it the EU who forced the government to privatise Royal Mail?

And I hate to tell you this but TTIP is still on the table. We've no idea what's in it (but the general consensus is that it is very bad) because the EU wont allow the public to see what's in it.

"...elected representatives may only view the texts in a secure "reading room" in Brussels, to avoid any further leaks of information about TTIP negotiations into the public domain."

That's yer wonderfully democratic EU that none of yer pro-EU commentators want to talk about.

:huh:
